Basket Bingo Nov. 12
A Basket Bingo will be held on Friday, Nov. 12, at the Delmarva Conference Center US 13, Delmar. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and games begin at 7 p.m., featuring Longaberger Baskets. Admission is $25 if bought in advance, or $30 at the door. Raffle drawing for "Large Hamper Basket." Proceeds benefit Alzheimer's Association Eastern Shore Chapter.

'Taking Charge' seminar
The Sussex Pregnancy Care Center (SPCC) will host a countywide educational conference on Nov. 13 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Western Sussex County Boys and Girls Club in Seaford.
The "Taking Charge of Your Life" conference challenges teens and young women to consider the importance of setting boundaries in areas surrounding their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The event also ensures an opportunity for the women to receive wellness information and products.
Partial funding for the "Taking Charge of Your Life" conference was made possible by a March of Dimes grant.

Arthritis Support Group
The Nanticoke Arthritis Support Group will be holding its second meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 9 a.m. at the Nanticoke Senior Center.
The topic for this month's meeting will be understanding the role of exercise as it relates to arthritis.
Michelle Burgoon, fitness specialist at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, will be presenting the PACE program (People with Arthritis Can Exercise) sponsored by the Delaware Arthritis Foundation.

'Winning Future' seminar
Long-term care issues will be addressed at the free informational seminar "Game Strategies for a Winning Future," part three in the seminar series "Winning at the Game of Life." This event will be held Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. at the Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Seaford.
Wisdom advises that the astute person plans for the future, considering both the known and the unknown, investigating the facts, analysing the variables, exploring the options and taking prudent action.
"Game Strategies for a Winning Future" will help prepare participants to make intelligent decisions for the strategic planning of their future. A trio of experts in the fields of insurance, law, and finance will provide updated information on the best options on the market today and will answer questions from the audience.
Nancy Harper, State Farm Insurance Agency, will address long-term care issues, including definitions, myths, and costs.
Michele Procino, Esquire, from George B. Smith, Attorneys at Law, will address estate planning, including planning for life, planning for beneficiaries, and the tools for maximization.
Robert Lank Jr., CPA with Lank, Johnson & Tull Accounting Firm, will address tax insights, including consequences, deductibility, and pending legislation.
