Bi-Staters’ Coffee Talk
Sharon Cordrey
The Delmar Library would like to thank everyone for supporting the book and bake sale at the library which was held on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Friends of the Library really worked hard to make this happen. Considering the overcast day, there was a great turnout. The work will help the children and adult programs. Again, thanks to everyone.

We wish a very happy birthday to two sweet people who work at the Delmar Library. Corretta Lowe’s birthday was Nov. 6 and Sandy Scott’s was Nov. 10. They celebrated their birthdays at the library with ice cream and cake on Monday, Nov. 11.

Carrie and Burt Whaley, Delores Jones, Barbara Tull, Carlton Pepper, Preston and Arlene Conaway and Arvalene Moore, with a few other people from the vicinity, enjoyed a trip to Branson, Mo. On their way to Branson, they went through Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky, then on the way back the tour went through Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. That’s a total of 11 states; that was quite a trip. I was told it was a wonderful trip and everyone enjoyed the music shows. Delores said that a group of them went to four shows in one day and then went shopping afterwards. Wow, what a day.
If you want to hear some good Christian music, come listen to Allen and Connie Reustle, accompanied by Marion Hughes, at Snethen United Methodist Church, Sunday, Nov. 17, at 9:30 a.m. This church is located between Delmar and Mardela.

We wish the following people very happy birthdays: on Nov. 10 - Kevin Morris; Nov. 11 - Sandra Aydelotte; Nov. 12 - Lance Hoffman, George Dukes and Sandra Dukes Graham; Nov. 15 - Kyle McAllister.

The ladies auxiliary of the Sussex County Volunteer Firemen’s Association will meet Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Delmar Fire Hall. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. and the meeting will start at 8 p.m.
