In honor of missionary
An appreciation service for missionary Delores Hill from the Church of God of Prophecy in Eldorado, Md., will be held on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 4 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene by Maryland Plastics in Federalsburg, Md. Hymn sing to be at Cannon

Youth revival set for Dec.
The Family Enrichment & Deliverance Center Inc., 534 East 4th St., Laurel, will hold a youth revival on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13 and 14, at 7 p.m. Saturday morning workshops will begin at 9 a.m. For further information call 875-0113.

Thanksgiving service set
A community Thanksgiving service with St. Stephen’s, Union and Melson churches participating will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church, 101 E. State St., Delmar. The Rev. Leon Jenkins will preach. An offering of canned goods will be taken for Harvest Ministries.

A hymn sing will be held at St. Paul’s Church, Old Stage Road, Laurel, Dec. 1, 7 p.m., featuring The Gospel Gents, Everett Warrington, Bob Littleton and the Rev. Dan Walker.

Ninety and Nine to meet
The Ninety & Nine, a Christian women’s club, invite both men and women to their annual Christmas dinner meeting at the Seaford Golf and Country Club, Seaford, Monday, Dec. 9, at 6:30 p.m. The Smith Family Singers, a local southern gospel singing group from the Laurel/Delmar area, will perform. Latin Mass to be Dec. 15
A Latin mass according to the Missal of 1962 is celebrated on the third Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover. This month’s mass will be celebrated on Dec. 15. Chorus will perform in prison
On Tuesday, Nov. 26, the 72-voice Southern Delaware Choral Society will perform portions of Handel’s “Messiah” and selections of traditional carols at the Nehemiah Chapel inside the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. The Voices in Praise Choir of Sussex Correctional Institution will join in with choral society. The choirs will offer several musical selections. All will join to sing the Hallelujah Chorus of Handel’s Messiah. The performance was initially sponsored by The Way Home Program, an interfaith community ministry in Sussex active in helping men and women in the transition from prison to home. The choral society now plans for this annual event. Warden Richard Kearney and chaplain Larry Lilly of the Sussex Correctional Institution have worked with The Way Home and with the choral society to make this performance possible.
