Delmar Carnival of Lights
The Delmar Chamber of Commerce Carnival of Lights will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. in State Street Park. There will be games, music, refreshments, pony rides, fire truck rides, crafts, and a visit from Santa. Join us as we light up our town. Bring a canned food item for the needy. ‘Christmas In Delmar’
“Christmas In Delmar” Delmar’s Christmas Parade, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. Line up will be at noon on Pennsylvania Avenue. Parade Route will be State Street to 8th Street. This is sponsored by the Greater Delmar Chamber of Commerce. Call the Chamber at 846-3336 and leave message if you would like to be a participant.

Sunday, Nov. 24, the Penn View Quartet will be singing at the God’s Missionary Church at 7 p.m. for a special service. Everyone is welcome. This church is located 29436 Connelly Mill Road, Delmar, Md.

Peggy Eskridge, Betty Elliott, Mollie Collins and Annabel Cordrey enjoyed a week at Hilton Head, S.C. While in South Carolina, they visited Betty’s son and his wife, Bill and Pat Elliott, who live in Florence, and Mollie’s daughter and husband, Trudy and Ed Stevens in Beaufort. They also toured the Harbor Town at Hilton Head.

We send our sympathy and prayers to the family and friends of Ron Christopher “Brother Ronnie” Fooks.

We send our get well wishes to Jane Long, who is recuperating from her recent back surgery. She wishes to thank everyone for their prayers, cards and concerns.

Congratulations to Dr. Donald and Karen Ellis on their new baby girl, Emily Catherine. She was born Monday, Nov. 11, weighing 10 pounds, 1 ounce and 22 inches long. The proud paternal grandparents are Donald and Bonnie Ellis.

Our prayers and get-well wishes to the following people, patients at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury: Richard E. Lloyd, Albert Parker, Alma Lee Smith and Ruth Webster. Our get well wishes and prayers also go to Jean Henry, who recently had surgery.
