Town to collect leaves
The town of Laurel will hold leaf collection day Monday, Nov. 26. The town asks residents to clean the leaves from curb areas and place them in plastic bags. Leaves must be placed at the curb no later than 8 a.m. No other materials will be picked up. For details, call the town office, 875-2277.

Laurel Lioness selling chances
The Laurel Lioness Club is sponsoring the following projects: Chances for the Longaberger Pumpkin Patch Basket can be purchased for $1; the basked will be given away in December. The club is also selling Home Interior Candles, available in many scents for $6. Contact Bea Wright at 875-2674 or any Lioness member for a chance on the basket or to place an order for candles.

Laurel plans Christmas parade
The Laurel Fire Department and Laurel Chamber of Commerce will sponsor Laurelís annual Christmas parade Friday, Dec. 14, 7 p.m. The parade will begin on Evergreen Drive and proceed to N. Central Avenue. The rain date will be Saturday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. The theme will be ďA Christmas Odyssey.Ē Entry forms are available in the Laurel Library. Cutoff for entries is Monday, Dec. 10.
