Democrats to hold dinner
The Western Sussex Democrat Club will hold its Thanksgiving covered-dish dinner meeting Monday, Nov. 29, 6:30 p.m. at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, South Central Avenue, Laurel. Admission is a covered dish. For details, call 875-2674.

Millennium madness planned
Possum Point Players will host a millennium party that members promise will beat all millennium parties.
Costumes will be masquerade and formal. Upon making reservations, participants will receive starter kits for their masks. The masks are their tickets to enter the theatre.
Prizes will be awarded to the most imaginative, elaborate and exciting mask.
The party will begin at 9 a.m., Dec. 31, with food and drink flowing until 2 a.m. The cost is $50 per person or $99 per couple. For details, call Possum Point Players at 302-856-3460.
The Possums will also hold "Sing a Song of Christmas," directed by Suzette Riggin, Friday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. The program will feature a review of holiday songs.

'Wonderful Life' is coming
Second Street Players is offering advance ticket sales for the Christmas presentation of "It's A Wonderful Life" that opens Thanksgiving weekend.
The musical stage adaptation of the classic motion picture is scheduled for Nov. 26, 27 and 28 and Dec. 3, 4 and 5.
Advance ticket purchases can be made by mailing a check made out to Second Street Players, requested show date and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Second Street Players, P.O. Box 470, Milford, DE 19963.
Tickets are $10 for Friday and Saturday shows; senior citizens and students pay a discount price of $9 for Sunday matinees. Advance sale discounts are available for groups of 20 or more.
County carolling to be Dec. 6
"Sussex Countians helping Sussex Countians" is the theme for this year's Carolling on the Circle, sponsored by the Sussex County Council, to be held Monday, Dec. 6, at 6:30 p.m. on the Circle in Georgetown.
All donated canned goods and non-perishable items will be distributed to needy families in Sussex County.
Hot chocolate and cookies will be served at Georgetown Fire Hall following the program.

Central class to hold reunion
Sussex Central Senior High School Class of 1989 will hold its 10-year class reunion on Saturday, Nov. 27.

Adult Plus plans for season
The Adult Plus+ program at Delaware Tech, Georgetown, is offering a variety of programs through December.
Bus trips to the U.S. Air Force Band's Christmas program in Washington, D.C., on Friday, Dec. 3, and to Old New Castle Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 5, are planned.
Thursday, Dec. 9, is the date for the Adult Plus+ Christmas Luncheon, with entertainment, music and door prizes. Reservations are required; admission is a non-perishable food item or child's toy to donate to a local charity.
In addition, the following trips are planned: Wednesday, Dec. 15 - to the First USA Riverfront Arts Center in Wilmington for the animated World Christmasfest Holiday Exhibit; Thursday, Dec. 16 - to the Winterfest of Lights in Ocean City; and Thursday, Dec. 16 - to New York City for the Radio City Music Hall Christmas spectacular.

Turkey shoot set for Nov. 27
Ellendale Ruritan's annual ham and turkey shoot will be Saturday, Nov. 27, noon, at the Ellendale VFW.
