Nanticoke Auxiliary plans 40th annual winter gala
The Nanticoke Health Services Auxiliary will hold its 40th annual Winter Gala, Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Seaford Golf and Country Club. The event entitled "Affair to Remember" is being co-chaired by Wendy Karnish and Pat Olekszyk.
The evening will consist of cocktails at 6 p.m., a buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m. and dancing from 8 p.m. till midnight. Black tie is optional.

Nanticoke Chiropractic Center announces first anniversary
Dr. James Hummel founder of Nanticoke Chiropractic Center is pleased to announce the center's first anniversary was Nov. 2.
The center specializes in the natural treatment of injuries of the neck and back.
"Here at Nanticoke Chiropractic we combine chiropractic with massage therapy and physiotherapy to get the best results when treating both recent and long-term conditions" states Dr. Hummel.
"We equipped this office with the latest in chiropractic and physical therapy equipment."
Nanticoke Chiropractic is equipped with Chattanooga Spinalator Flexion tables.
"This tables allow the doctor to utilize several different chiropractic techniques based on the practice members condition."
These techniques have been developed to enable the chiropractor to treat patients in all age ranges.
"I have treated patients as young as 3-days old to mature individuals at 96," states Dr. Hummel.
Many people are unaware that they may have a serious spinal condition, so during the month of November, Nanticoke Chiropractic will offer spinal checkups.
Dr. Hummel is a graduate of Parker Chiropractic college and is a member of Delaware Chiropractic Society, American Chiropractic Association, Parker Alumni Association, Toastmasters International, and the Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce.
Nanticoke Chiropractic is located 559 N. Hall St. in Seaford.

CPR certification classes offered at Delaware Tech
This fall, Delaware Tech offers certification courses in special CPR techniques as well as its regular schedule of CPR classes.
• Pediatric BLS - Dec. 7 - covers infant/child CPR with choking with emphasis on safe environment and prevention.
• Pediatric BLS Plus - Dec. 7 - teaches about the use of barrier devices during CPR.
