Thanksgiving dinner
Union United Methodist Church, 2 North Laws St., Bridgeville, will have its annual community Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, Nov. 27, noon to 2 p.m., in the churchís fellowship hall. Admission is free to all. Call 337-7409.

Back Home Service
A Back-Home Service will be Sunday, Nov. 30, at Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, W. 8th Street, Laurel, at 4 p.m., with Elder C.L. Blackshear, pastor; Elder Charles Johnson, assistant pastor. Speaker will be Bishop L.T. Blackshear from Bibleway Temple in Dover. Refreshments will be served after the service.

Concert with Youth Choir
There will be a concert featuring Holy Trinity Church of God Youth Choir from Reading, Pa., at the Clarence Street Church of God in Seaford, on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. The concert is free to all. Sunday, Nov. 30, is Youth Day at the church. The Rev. William Lockhart, youth pastor of Holy Trinity Church of God, Reading, is the messenger for the 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. worship services.

Family & Friends Day
All are invited to Family & Family Friends Day at Williams Chapel Church, 501-1/2 North Cannon St., Bridgeville, Nov. 30, at 4 p.m. Theme is ďOne Body.Ē We all need each other, Ephesians 4:25, ďFor we are members one of another.Ē Pastor is Charles W. St. Paulís Gospel Concert
There will be a gospel concert at St. Paulís United Methodist Church, in Laurel, on Sunday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. The featured singing group will be Everett Warrington and the Gospel Gents. St. Paulís is located on Old Stage Road, near Hearnís Crossroads. For more information call Pastor Don, 856-6107.
Advent Bible study
Trinity Untied Methodist Church, Dublin Hill, is having an Advent Bible study and prayer service on Dec. 3, 10 and 17, at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served. From Bridgeville take 404 west, turn left onto Dublin Hill Road, follow Dublin Hill Road for about two miles and the church is on the right.

Christís Church revival
Christís Church Non-Denominational, Inc., Harbeson, will hold a Revival on Dec. 6, at 6:30 p.m. and Dec. 7, at 3 p.m.. Pastor is the Rev. Martha A. Tankard. Guest preacher will be Evangelist Lynn Horton of Salisbury. Call 945-8959.

Old Time Gospel Singers
The Old Time Gospel Singers traveled to the Elsmere V.A. Hospital in Wilmington on Sunday, Nov. 9, delivering gift bags to each veteran in the nursing home section of the hospital. At that time, the Marine Corps was also in attendance to present a birthday cake in honor of the 228th anniversary of the Corps. The Singers were also able to purchase a $5 book of coupons for each veteran that they could use at the commissary upstairs. The following provided contributions for the gift bags: Cokesbury Church, Georgetown; Asbury UMC, Laurel; Millville UMC; Blackwater Fellowship Church, Roxanna; St. Matthews by the Sea UMC, Fenwick Island; St. Paulís UMC, Laurel; Shiloh Community Church, Laurel; Taylorville UMC, Berlin, Md.; Charity UMC, Salisbury; and Ron & Amanda Tull, Whaleysville, Md.

Advent Season begins
St. Lukeís Episcopal Church, Seaford, will be celebrating the beginning of the Advent Season on Sunday, Nov. 30 at both 8 AM and 10:15 AM services. The church colors will be changed to blue during this time leading to Christmas. Come and worship with us to begin this Holy Season.
