Dinner at Seaford Mission
The Seaford Mission, 611 3rd St., Seaford, will have a carry-out spaghetti dinner for $5 to benefit the Restoration Recovery Ministries on Saturday, Dec. 13, from noon to 5 p.m.

Santa at Ledo’s Pizza
Santa Claus will be at Ledo Pizza and Pasta (in the Wal-Mart Shopping Center) on Wednesday, Dec. 10 and 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. A digital photograph with Santa will be available for $1. Phone 628-5336.

Canned Goods at Meeting
The Seaford Chapter of the AARP-Widowed Persons Service will have it next meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 12:30 p.m. at the Golden Corral . Toys and canned goods for associated charities will be collected. All widowed persons of all ages are invited to attend.

Financial aid nights planned in Sussex
Three college financial aid nights are planned in Sussex County in the new year - Tuesday, Jan. 6, Monday, Jan. 26, and Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Delaware Tech College at 7 p.m. Phone 855-1693 for more information. The events are being sponsored by the American Education Services and the Delaware Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. The sessions are free and open to the public.
Acorn Club Party
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs, Acorn Club of Seaford, will have its annual Christmas party and auction at the Grace Baptist Church, Atlanta Road, on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. Deborah O’Bier and her committee will be in charge. For more information call 629-4363.

Toys for Tots
Coldwell Banker Broadcreek Realty, Regional Builders, Inc. and Long & Foster are local drop-off points for the Toys for Tots program. This program, conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, collects and distributes toys to needy children. Donations of new, unwrapped, non-violent gifts will be distributed to underprivileged children in Sussex County. To participate, drop off new, unwrapped toys at:
  • Regional Builders, Inc., 300 High St., Seaford. Donations will be accepted on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Dec. 22.
  • Coldwell Banker Broadcreek Realty office, one mile north of Wal-Mart on Route 13 (southbound lane) in Seaford or call 629-5575.
  • Long & Foster, Wal-Mart Shopping Center.
