Victorian Christmas opening Friday at Gov. Ross Mansion

This year’s Victorian Christmas at the Ross Mansion features several special added attractions. Each of the seven florists who are decorating the 13 rooms of the mansion will have one arrangement for purchase at silent auction. Bids will be accepted all three days and arrangements will be awarded throughout the Sunday afternoon hours. The Victorian Christmas starts on Friday, Dec. 13, with a wine and cheese party from 5 to 7 p.m. and candlelight tours of the lavishly decorated Ross Mansion. On Saturday, Dec. 14, and Sunday, Dec. 15, the hours are 1 to 4 p.m. and will provide tours of the slave quarter and the smoke house in addition to the mansion. A special feature on Saturday will be the serving of wassail in the mansion kitchen. Charge for Friday wine and cheese party is $10 per person. On Saturday and Sunday, the charge is $5 per person.
