A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Friday afternoon as Nanticoke Gastroenterology has officially moved to its new location on Middleford Road in Seaford. On hand for the event were (across left) Bob Warford, president of the Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce, the Rev. Reed Morris, Frank Calio, state Rep. Tina Fallon, Doug Ritter, Jeanne Mackler, Dr. Bernard Mackler, Catherine Mackler, Laurence Mackler, Bradley P. Mackler M.D., owner, Joyce Towney Mackler, Andrew Mackler, Troy Sylvester, Mike Andresky, Lin McFarland, Teri Collins and Paula Gunson, executive director, Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce.

Victorian Christmas weekend
This is the final weekend for the Victorian Christmas at the Ross Mansion. The festive decorations in the Mansion as well as the slave quarters and smoke house on the Plantation grounds will be open for tour. Hours on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 15 and 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. The boutique will also be open.
For tours the charge is $5 per person, $2.50 for ages 10 to 16. Children under 10 years of age are admitted free. All proceeds are used for restoration and maintenance of the Seaford Historical Society’s two facilities: The Ross Mansion/Plantation and the Seaford Museum. Seaford’s Santa hours listed
Santa will be making some special appearances in Seaford this year. He will set up headquarters in the Morning Star Publications Inc. (Seaford Star) office in the PK City building on Stein Highway, Seaford.

Hours for visits with Santa are as follows:
• Friday, Dec. 14, 7 to 9 p.m.
• Saturday, Dec. 15, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
• Friday, Dec. 21, 7 to 9 p.m.
• Saturday, Dec. 22, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Apples and candy canes will be given away. Parents are welcome to bring cameras to take photos of their children with Santa. The Seaford Kiwanis Club is assisting Santa with his visits to the Seaford area. Questions should be directed to the Seaford Star office, 629-9788.

Laurel Christmas Parade Dec. 14
Laurel’s Annual Christmas Parade will be held on Friday, Dec. 14, 7 p.m. The parade will line up on Evergreen Drive and proceed to N. Central Avenue. The theme of this year’s parade is “A Christmas Odyssey.”
