Trip to Sight & Sound theater is planned
Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Laurel, is sponsoring a trip to "The Miracle of Christmas Show" at the Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, Pa. on Saturday, Dec. 18.
The cost of $71 includes transportation by Savages' bus service, buffet meal, ticket to the show, shopping stop at Rockvale Mall and a short tour of holiday lighting in Lancaster. For more information and reservations, call 302-846-2694.

Church to celebrate traditional mass
A Latin mass according to the Missal of 1962 is celebrated on the third Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover. The mass is always a Missa Cantata using traditional Gregorian chant. For further information, call 302-674-5905 or 302-629-8863.

Alliance Church to present cantata
The Christmas cantata, "From Heaven's Throne," will be presented by the choir of the Atlanta Road Alliance Church on Friday, Dec. 17, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. The choir is under the direction of Richard Trice.
An organ prelude featuring organist Kevin Chamberlain will begin a half-hour before the cantata. The church is located on Atlanta Road, Seaford, 1.5 miles north of the Nylon Capital Shopping Plaza. For further information call 629-7693.

Jericho conference set for March 2000
Jericho Fellowship International's Association of Vineyard Churches East Coast Women's Conference will be held March 23 through 25 in Ocean City, Md. Conference speakers and workshop teachers from Maine to California will be attending. The worship leader is coming from London and her worship team is coming from North Carolina.

Centenary to present Christmas cantata
The chancel choir of Centenary United Methodist Church, Market and Poplar streets, Laurel, will present the cantata, "Emmanuel Has Come," Sunday, Dec. 19, at a combined worship service at 11 a.m. The choir is under the direction of Linda Premo.
Church to sing 'Emmanuel Has Come'
On Sunday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. the Christ Evangelistic Church of Laurel will present a Christmas cantata entitled "Emmanuel Has Come." The cantata will be performed by the Christ Evangelistic sanctuary choir and Centenary United Methodist chancel choir. This cantata was created by Don Moen and Jack Hayford.
Christ Evangelistic Church is located on Bethel Road between US 13 and alternate US 13.

Calvary annual holiday show set for Sunday
Calvary Baptist Church choir will present its 1999 Christmas cantata, "The Richest Family In Town," Sunday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. The church is located at 1120 Market St., Denton, Md. For details, call (410) 479-3682.

St. Paul's plans Christmas play
St. Paul's United Methodist Church, near Hearn's Crossroads, Laurel, will present a Christmas play, "Make Me Wise," Sunday, Dec. 19, 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served following the program. For details, call 856-6107.

St. Luke's to celebrate Christmas Eve, Day
Christ Mass at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Front Street, Seaford, will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.
The musical prelude will include an organ prelude, congregational singing and selections by the choir and musicians.
The choir will present "Jesu, Thou Dear Babe Divine" by Clarence Dickinson. Musical numbers will be presented by Diane Burns, Natalie Quick, Hugo Parker, Evan Lee, Ryan Lee and Jim Evitts.
Choir members include Kate Widdowson, Janet Jones, Faith Torbert, Claudia Miner Lane, Peggy Murphy, Sue Short, Deana Fonda, Joe Parker Jr. and Jim Evitts.
Virginia C. "Mike" Barton is organist/choir director at St. Luke's.
With the Rev. Jeanne W. Kirby as celebrant, the Choral Eucharist will have Mary Esther Mills and Noel Sizemore as proclaimers; Jocelyn Quick as intercessor; Herb Quick and Chuck Barton as sub-deacon and chalicist; Natalie Quick, Ryan Lee and Stephanie Dunn as acolytes, Stan and Joan Taylor as ushers and Noel Sizemore as greeter.
On Saturday, Christmas Day, a quiet celebration of the Holy Eucharist will begin at 10 a.m. One service, the Christmas Carol Eucharist, will be held on Sunday, Dec. 26, at 10 a.m.
