Enjoy the Christmas spirit and the decorations at the Delmar Library Christmas open house on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 6:30 p.m. They will be having a very special guest in a red suit and he will be parking on the roof of the library. The children’s librarian will have something special for the little children. All ages are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.

The Delmar Library would like to thank everyone for their participation on attending the guitar soloists from the Delaware Classical Showcase of Greenville, on Dec. 11. We had a great turnout.

The Delmar Library will be closed for Christmas holidays on Dec. 24, 25 and 31, and Jan. 1. Pictures of first-, second-, and third-place winners from the Delmar Elementary reading program from first grade through fifth are on display at the Delmar Library. Come and see your children, grandchildren and friends’ pictures on the front desk and on the new display board that is located at the front door.

The Laurel Saddle Friends enjoyed their annual Christmas dinner at the Nutter Marvel Museum Wednesday, Dec. 11. Their meal was catered by the House Of Sweets of Laurel.

We send get-well wishes and speedy recovery to Laura Brittingham and Albert Parker, who are patients at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Deena Kenney is home from college to enjoy the holidays with her family and friends.

We wish Donna Keenan a very happy birthday Sunday, Dec. 22. I won’t say just how old she is. But she’s catching up with the rest of us. Donna, we hope you have a great one!

Happy birthday wishes to Christopher Short from your parents, Sheila and Darin Williamson and your grandparents, Jerrita and Dale Kenney. Christopher celebrated his big day on Saturday, Dec. 14.
