FIRST BABY OF THE NEW YEAR - On January 1, 2011 at 6:49 a.m., Parker Rawlins Rementer came into the world and was the first baby born at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital for 2011. Proud parents, Julie Harper Rementer and Chris Rementer of Seaford were thrilled to learn that their little boy was the first baby delivered at Nanticoke in 2011. To help celebrate the first baby of the New Year, Nanticoke Hospital provided the family a diaper bag, filled with baby necessities. Nanticoke Hospital delivers about 900 babies each year. Nanticoke's experienced staff provides high-quality clinical care in a warm and caring setting. The hospital holds a Level III trauma status for emergency services, a comprehensive cancer center, a Nationally Accredited and award winning Stroke Center and Nationally Accredited Sleep Center, the only Delaware health care facility to have an Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation program certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and a growing physician network that includesphysicians in over 37 different specialties.
