Seaford Tomorrow starts grant program to help spruce up commercial properties

City of Seaford electric users experienced a brief outage Wednesday morning at approximately 7:15 a.m. The 25-minute outage appears to have been caused by a 'stick' dropped on one of the power lines, possibly by an osprey. Crews responded promptly and worked quickly to restore power to those 335 customers affected. Customers are reminded to avoid loose or downed power lines at all times

. If an outage is experienced and customers should hear a loud noise or flash of light just before the loss of power, please notify the city's electric department at 302-629-4550. Doing so may assist crews in finding the cause of the power loss more expediently, which helps them to get the power restored faster.
