Better Breathers Club meeting
Nanticoke Memorial Hospital will hold a Better Breathers Club meeting on Monday, Nov. 21 from 2 to 3 p.m., in the Medical Staff Conference Room. This month's meeting will feature a presentation by Vitas Healthcare.
This free support group is open to anyone affected by a chronic lung disease including relatives and caregivers. The group meets the third Monday of each month.
Refreshments will be provided and registration is required.

Shine a Light event
Nanticoke Cancer Care Services will host their Second Annual Shine a Light event at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Cancer Care Center in Seaford.
Sponsored by the Lung Cancer Alliance, this event promotes lung cancer awareness and provides hope, inspiration and support for those touched by lung cancer. The event is free and open to the public. Weight loss seminars
Nanticoke Weight Loss & General Surgery will host weight loss seminars on Saturday, Dec. 3, Wednesday, Dec. 14 and Saturday, Dec. 17, in the Medical Staff Conference Room at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.
These free seminars are designed to provide education to individuals considering weight loss surgery to help them make informed decisions on whether surgery is an appropriate option.
The seminars will consist of educational presentations by Dr. Tarek Waked to inform individuals about the many benefits of weight loss surgery. Patients and their spouses, family members or friends are welcome to attend. Registration is not required.

Diabetes Support Group
Nanticoke Memorial Hospital will hold a diabetes support group on Monday, Dec. 5 from 5-6 p.m., in the Medical Staff Conference Room. This support group is free and open to the public.
As a person with diabetes, are you struggling to make positive behavior changes in your life or would you just like to share with others coping with diabetes? Come join our free support group for individuals with diabetes. This support group meeting will feature a holiday party. Registration is required. Change in support group meetings
The Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter would like to announce that the Caregiver Support Group meeting held at Centenary United Methodist Church, 200 W. Market St., Laurel, will continue to meet twice on the first Tuesday of each month, but beginning Dec. 6, the meeting times will be at 2:30 and again at 5:30 p.m.
Caregivers are encouraged to attend these meetings to help manage the stress of providing the care. The meetings are free and open to the public, and all are invited to attend.
Nanticoke Physician Network to host Bariatric Support Group
Nanticoke Weight Loss & General Surgery will host bariatric support groups on Monday, Nov. 28 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. This free support group is designed to provide education and support to patients before and after their bariatric weight loss surgery and is open to the public.
