Bereavement program offered Beginning Monday, March 13 at 5 p.m., the Cancer Support Community collaborates with Delaware Hospice to host a 6-week bereavement program, Healing After the Loss of a Loved One, facilitated by Midge DiNatale, BA, GC-C. This series is free of charge and open to anyone who has lost a loved one in the past year. The Cancer Support Community is located in the Medical Arts Building, 18947 John J. Dr. Ferber named to board Robert C. Ferber, MD, SFHM, chief clinical innovation officer at Nanticoke Health Services, has been appointed a board member of the Sussex County Health Coalition (SCHC). Dr. Ferber has served Sussex County as a physician for over 30 years, running a private practice for 17 years and then served as the founding medical director of Nanticoke Memorial Hospitals Hospitalist Program, which started in 2004. He now serves as Nanticokes chief clinical innovation officer, where he is responsible for population health and clinical integration strategies to improve patient experience, clinical quality and the total cost of care.

We have learned that classic medical care from doctors and hospitals is only a small part of a persons overall health over a lifetime, noted Dr. Ferber. Free nutrition education seminar Nanticoke Weight Loss and General Surgery will hold a free nutrition education seminar on Thursday, March 16 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Nanticokes Training Center located at 121 S. Front St., Seaford. This months seminar will feature an interactive presentation, Obesity: Separating Fact from Fiction, by Dr. Sandra Palavecino, bariatrician and medical weight loss program director at Nanticoke Weight Loss & General Surgery.
