Basket Raffle in April

COURSES

AARP Driving Course
AARP driver safety course for people 50 and over, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, April 13, Tuesday, April 14, at Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Seaford. The two-day program, sponsored by the American Association for Retired Persons, stresses how older drivers may operate vehicles safely. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate for a reduction in their auto insurance. A 15 percent reduction is given to anyone repeating the program within three years. Parenting Class
Child Inc. announces that there is still space available in the "Birth to Three" parenting class at Laverty Lane, 1 Laverty Lane, Bridgeville. This class has been postponed to begin on April 18 to May 23, and will meet every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. for six weeks. Democrats to Honor Gov. Minner
The Sussex County Women's Democrat Club is honoring Gov. Ruth Ann Minner, Saturday, April 8. A chicken and dumpling dinner will be held at the Bridgeville Fire Hall at 6 p.m. and cost $20 each person. Guests attending the dinner will be Lt. Gov. John C. Carney, Jr. and Secretary of State Harriett Windsor. The dinner takes the place of the regular April monthly meeting of the Sussex County Women's Democrat Club luncheon. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 12-04 meets the second Thursday of each month at Nanticoke Yacht Club in Blades. Laurel Powder-Puff Football
Tickets are on sale for the annual Powder-Puff Football Game. Saturday, April 8, at noon, at Robert Ruston Field at Laurel Middle School. The Seaford Department of Parks and Recreation Orioles vs. Yankees trip, Friday, June 2, to Camden Yards. The cost is $44 for each ticket and the bus. Tickets are in section 86 by the bullpen. The bus leaves the rear parking lot of the high school at 4 p.m.

Trip to Cape Cod
