'If Jesus Had Not Come'
The Christmas drama and music presentation entitled, "If Jesus Had Not Come," will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m., and on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Seaford.

'Canticle of Christmas'
The Chancel Choir of the Union United Methodist Church will present "Canticle of Christmas" on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. followed by a "Dessert Fellowship." Everyone is invited. The church is at 2 North Laws Street, Bridgeville.

Alliance Church Cantata
The Atlanta Road Alliance Church choir, under the direction of Richard Trice, will present the cantata, "One Incredible Moment: Celebrating the Majesty of the Manger" on Friday, Dec. 16, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. Filled with the writing of Max Lucado and the music of Tom Fettke, the musical reveals how every character and moment of that divine night illuminate the miracle of Christ. Angel Project at St. Luke's
On Sunday, Dec. 18, the Angel Project gifts will be brought to at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Seaford as another participation of outreach in the community. The 6 p.m. Eucharist and healing service continues to be held on Thursdays.

The joy of Christmas
The Delmar Church of God of Prophecy will present the musical drama production "Sounds Like Christmas." Directed and produced by three-time national Crystal Communicator Award winner Wendy Craig, the production will be performed Dec. 16, 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. with free admission. This is no ordinary "church skit." With full set design, lighting, make up, costumes, singing and choreography it has already proved to be a delightful hit to young and old alike. With a contemporary approach to the Christmas message, this group reminds us to "experience the joy of Christmas." The host pastor of the church is Bishop Michael Phillips. The church is located on U.S. 13, three miles north of the Maryland/Delaware state line. Refreshments will be served following the performance. A $50 ToysRUs gift card will be given away each night. Centenary Christmas services
On Sunday, Dec. 18, the youth choir will present their Christmas cantata entitled "Stranger in the Manger," at a combined worship service at 11 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, corner of Poplar and Market streets, Laurel. Centenary will hold two services on Christmas Eve. The 7 p.m. service will be family-oriented with the presentation of the children's story "Why the Chimes Rang?" written by Raymond MacDonald Alden. The traditional candlelight service will be held at 10 p.m. On Christmas Day, a combined carol sing will be held at 11 a.m. Regularly scheduled worship services will resume on New Year's Day with a contemporary service at 8:45 a.m. and traditional worship at 11 a.m. All are invited to join in the services at Centenary United Methodist Church.

Laurel Baptist Christmas play

Christmas musical at Grace Church
The Kidz choir at Grace Baptist Church, 805 Atlanta Road, Seaford, will present a children's Christmas musical at 6 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 18. The public is invited to this free presentation of Don and Lorie Marsh's "Star Journey." This presentation will be directed by Mrs. Homer McKeithan, and will be followed by a time of fellowship. Messiah's Christmas Eve service

Latin Mass December 18 in Dover
A Latin mass according to the Missal of 1962 is celebrated on the third Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover. The mass will be celebrated on Dec. 18. The mass is always a Missa Cantata using traditional Gregorian chant. For further information, call 302-674-5781.

New Year's Day Christian film
Bob Jones University's motion picture "Sheffey" is scheduled for a showing in Seaford. This feature film will be shown on Sunday, Jan. 1, at 6 p.m., in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Seaford. "Sheffey," a screenplay written by Tim Rogers, is based on the book "The Saint of the Wilderness," by Jess Carr. "Sheffey" deals with the life of an itinerant preacher, Robert Sayers Sheffey. For much of the 1800s, Sheffey ministered to the mountain folk of the Virginias, Carolinas, and parts of Tennessee and Kentucky. Convinced that men needed to be shown the love of God, Sheffey rode the mountains and hollows to spread the light of the Gospel. Produced and directed by Katherine Stenholm, this film won the silver medallion award at the annual film competition conducted by the International Film and Television Festival of New York. St. Paul's New Year's Eve program
A special New Year's Eve Program will be held at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Laurel. The program will begin at 9 p.m. and will feature the Sounds of Joy, the O'Day Family Singers, and the Don Murray Family.
