Ministerium presenting Jesus film
The Greater Seaford Ministerium is holding a time of prayer for the Jesus Film project on Friday, Feb. 3, at noon, at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church located on High Street in Seaford. The Jesus Film has been distributed worldwide and recently was formated into DVD. Locally, the film could be distributed within the Seaford area at a cost of $3 per resident. Approximately $14,000 will need to be raised by Feb. 20 for the film to be sent out shortly before Easter. Churches are asked to be in prayer and consider congregational and individual contributions for this evangelistic tool. Contact ministerium president the Rev. St. Luke's installs new vestry
The 171st annual meeting of St. Luke's Episcopal Church was held on Sunday, Jan. 29, after the 9 a.m. Holy Eucharist worship service. Following a covered dish brunch, a new vestry was installed. The 2006 vestry includes two new members, Deanna Fonda and Noel Sizemore, and two members serving their second three-year terms, Amy Larson and Sarah Quick. The remaining 2006 members are Janet Grantz, Janet Hubbard, Edie Irwin, Ann Newton, Herb Quick, Vicki Reinsfelder and the Rev. Jeanne Wise Kirby, Rector. Dr. Joe Coladonato was elected to serve as a delegate for the 2006 Diocesan Convention. St. Luke's is a liturgically based Episcopal Church and newcomers and visitors are welcome at the 9 a.m. Sunday service and the 6 p.m. Thursday evening service.

Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Usher's Sermon
On Sunday, Feb. 12, will be the annual Usher's Sermon at Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Church, Concord.The service begins at 3:30 p.m. The messenger will be the Rev. William Alvin Hitchens of New Revelation Baptist Church, Cambridge, Md. The event is sponsored by the ushers of Mt. Calvary. The president is Timah Ricketts and the pastor is the Rev. Idola J. Williams.

Mt. Calvary UMC Pew Rally
There will be a Pew Rally on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m., at Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church, 28 Church St., Bridgeville. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Purnell A. Moody of Wilmington. There will be a free will offering. A fellowship meal will follow the service which is sponsored by the 135th church anniversary committee. The Rev. Terrance Briggs is the pastor.

Community Service Blitz Day
As part of the Gethsemane U.M. Church Community Service Blitz Day on Saturday, Feb. 4, there will be free blood pressure checks and health screenings from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Are all welcome.

Classes at St. John's UMC
A series of classes are being offered at St. John's United Methodist Church in Seaford before and after the community dinner ($3 donation) on Wednesday nights continuing through the spring. Everyone is invited to participate. Call the church office 629-9466 for more information. Come for dinner and join us in a class.

Superbowl Party at Nazarene Church
The second annual Superbowl Party will take place at the Seaford Nazarene Church on Sunday, Feb. 5, at 6 p.m., at the church at 520 S. Dual Highway, Seaford, (next to the Guide). There will be food, games, and door prizes. The party is hosted by the Seaford Nazarene Church and the Laurel Wesleyan Church.
