Women's Ministries, Bible Study Women's Ministries and Bible Study meets Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at The Salvation Army in Seaford, next to Food Lion. The third Tuesday of every month the group meets in the Bethany Unit at the Methodist Manor House on Middleford Road. The group is currently finishing a Beth Moore series on the Fruit of the Spirit and will begin an 11 week series on the book of Revelation in a few weeks. Celebrate Recovery program Celebrate Recovery, a step program which claims Jesus Christ as its Higher Power, is meeting at St. John's United Methodist Church, Pine and Poplar Streets, on Tuesdays at 7p.m. in Room 14. This program is open to all individuals who wish to turn over their hurts, habits and hang-ups to God so that they may be healed. For more information, call the Rev. 'Tilly' production planned Power Productions Ministries and We Choose Life are planning a production of "Tilly," a play about love and forgiveness, on Saturday evening, April 2 and Sunday afternoon, April 3. This is a multi-church community event. There will bea mass choir, no audition required. The next rehearsal for theSussex County area will be held at the Milford Church of God, 500 Walnut St., Milford, at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb.28 at 7 p.m. There will be a final rehearsal at Milford Church of God for everyone on Monday, March 21, at 7 p.m. For more information, call Shawn Smith at 410-548-2167.

St. John's receives award St. John's United Methodist Church, Seaford, has been recognized by United Methodist Communications (UMCom) as an official "Welcoming Congregation" for the second year. "Welcoming Congregations" are a select group of United Methodist congregations nationwide that meet criteria including embracing newcomers and providing opportunities in discipleship. Besides the dynamic preaching of Senior Pastor Rev. Chris Pennington, St. John's has a variety of Christian study opportunities as well as missional outreach efforts coordinated by the Rev. Constance Hastings, deacon and staff counselor. St. John's is also known for its programs that seek to help individuals through the Seaford Community Food Closet; St. John's Community Thrift Shop; Rainbows, helping children in public schools deal with family change and loss; Celebrate Recovery; character building programs with the Seaford House; a yearly school supply drive; leadership with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; and Daybreak Counseling Services.

Benefit concert for Nancy Ricketts A Benefit Concert for Nancy Cannon Ricketts who is battling breast cancer will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, at Woodbridge High School. This benefit concert will help defray Nancy's costs as she fights this disease. Nancy is a lifelong resident of Bridgeville and a lifelong member of Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church in Bridgeville. We are asking everyone to come prepared to give a generous love offering. If you are unable to attend, donations may be sent to Mt. Calvary UMC, P.O. Box 271, Bridgeville, DE. All donations will be greatly appreciated. Night of Gospel Music Joshua House Ministries presents a night of great gospel music at Bethel Worship Center in Seaford on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. The night features Lights of Home, Jennifer Kimball, McKenzie George, Reunion Quartet and Phil Davis. Concert at St. Paul's There will be a concert at St. Paul's United Methodist Church at 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27. In concert will be Charlie Paparella and the Live Gospel Band and Wayne Porter's Walking Miracle.

Yard Sale, pancake breakfast Christ the Cornerstone Community Church will hold an Indoor Yard Sale & Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 26 from 7 a.m. - until. The monthly pancake breakfast with scrapple, bacon, etc., includes a chance to shop at the indoor yard sale and baked goodies table, continuing through lunch with soup, chili and hotdogs. The church is located at the corner of Bethel and Seaford Road, Laurel.

Family Fun Night Woodland United Methodist Church in Seaford is hosting a Family Fun Night at Friendly's restaurant, Seaford, on Monday, Feb 28. Dine in or carry-out between 5 and 8 p.m., and Woodland UMC will receive 10% of the sales. Woodland UMC plans to donate the money raised at the fun night to the missions they currently support.

Beef and dumpling dinner Mt. Zion Methodist Church will host a beef and dumpling dinner on Saturday, March 12 at 5 p.m.Carryouts will be available at 4:30 p.m. Cost is $10. The church is located on Route 13A between Seaford and Laurel.

Events at Mt. Pisgah AME Church The Hunt, Higgins will be hosting a pre-family and friends day gospel concert featuring Gerri Horsey and the Family Connection on March 5 at 6:30 p.m. A free will offering will be taken. March 13 will be Hunt and Higgins Family and Friends Day, starting with a 10:30 a.m. service and a 3:30 p.m. service. The guest speaker will be Rev. LOVE, INC receives grant LOVE, In the Name of Christ, received a grant through the Seaford Presbyterian Church from New Castle Presbytery, which will keep LOVE, INC staffed for the next year. Many people are getting help through this clearing house, so please answer the call when LOVE, INC asks you to help your neighbors. For help, call 629-7050.

Recreational Night at Trinity UMC Trinity UMC near Trap Pond in Laurel will be having Recreational Night (Rec night) every Tuesday when school is in session. These events will start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew The Brotherhood of St. Andrew of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Seaford meets every Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Parish House. Bible Study St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Seaford is conducting a Bible Study every Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Parish House.

Weekly Bible Study A weekly Bible study is being held every Wednesday night from 7:15-8:15 p.m. at the Days Inn, Rt. 13 South, Seaford (next to KFC). Family oriented Bible lessons for all ages.
