Gospel Cafe Every Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. there is a Gospel Cafe in the Fellowship Hall at Laurel Baptist Church. Free Christian entertainment, live bands, local talent.Everyone is welcome. The church is located at 33056 Bi-State Blvd., Laurel.

Women's Ministries, Bible Study Women's Ministries and Bible Study meets Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at The Salvation Army in Seaford, next to Food Lion. 50th Anniversary Celebration Grace Baptist Church in Seaford will celebrate its 50th anniversary on May 1, immediately following the 10:45 a.m. worship service.A luncheon will be served, followed by a program including a video presentation of the church throughout the years and music by The Sounds of Joy.

Gospel Concert Christ's Church of New Hope will host Art Bush and the "Allegiance" quartet on Sunday, May 1, at the Bridgeville Banquet Center (next to Jimmy's Grille) at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Morning worship will feature special music and gospel preaching and evening services will have a full concert. "Allegiance" brings the best praise music of southern gospel and the latest contemporary worship with outstanding 4-part harmony. Community Day at Church of God The Seaford Clarence St. Church of God is hosting its 7th annual Community Day Event on Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food and beverages will be provided. Admission is free. Bring your own lawn chair. There will be activities for everyone including games, contests, fingerprinting, face painting, door prizes, giveaways, cultural displays, health booths and youth group exhibits. Entertainment includes praise dancers, poetry reading, a jazz ensemble, a step team andmusical selections. Special features will "include the blessing of the bikes," a canine demo, a motorcycle show, the Belvedere Volunteer Fire Department of Wilmington, the Sussex County Sheriff Dept. and a presentation from the Star Hill AME Museum. Salisbury Prayer Breakfast Lt. Col. Kenny Cox (U.S. Army Ret.) will be the guest speaker at the National Day of Prayer Breakfast, Thursday, May 5, in the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center. Organized by a group of community leaders, this will be Salisbury's first major prayer breakfast since 2004. Civic center doors open at 7 a.m., with breakfast served at 7:30. Paul's Ministry Join us at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 1, at Greenwood United Methodist Church as Jim Hughes presents a drama on Paul's ministry. Jim wrote, sings and portrays the powerful message of Paul's relationship with the Christ he persecuted. Journey through the events of Paul's ministry andexperience the love of Paul for Christ. Jim Hughes Ministries is a non-profit, full-time family ministry supported solely by the gifts and offerings of those they serve. 'Balling For God' The Community Outreach Team of New Zion United Methodist Church is hosting its 7th Annual "Balling for God" Basketball Tournament and Block Party. This event will take place on Saturday, May 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Webb Avenue in Laurel. Teams are now forming; age brackets are 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19 and 20 and up.
