Awana Clubs at Alliance Church Awana clubs are being held at Atlanta Road Alliance Church on Wednesdays from 6:45 to 8:25 p.m., for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. For 60 years, Awana has been a leader in childrens ministry, helping churches and parents worldwide raise youth to know, love and serve Christ. Sparks (K-second grade) ignites the curiosity of early elementary kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.Children enjoy the games and spending time with leaders and friends. Centenary UMC worship schedule Centenary UMC in Laurel will begin a new worship schedule effective Sunday, Oct. 16.We will have one service at 10 a.m. with Sunday school for all ages held at 9 a.m.On Oct. 16 we will celebrate Pastor Appreciation Day and Laity Sunday with guest speaker Joan Hart. Join us for worship each Sunday at 10 a.m., beginning Oct. 16.

90th Reunion at Concord UMC The Sons, Daughters & Friends of Concord 90th Reunion will take place on Saturday, Oct. 15. Beginning at 2 p.m. at Concord United Methodist Church, there will be fellowship, a dedication and memorial service to honor those sons, daughters and friends of Concord who have passed away since last years reunion. The Rev. Diane E. Melson, will deliver a brief message and guests will be entertained with music by The Lights of Home. A chicken & dumpling dinner will follow at 4 p.m., at the community house. Beef-n-dumpling dinner Mt. Zion Methodist Church, located on Route 13A between Seaford and Laurel, will host a beef-n-dumplings dinner on Saturday, Oct. 15. The dinner will begin at 5 p.m. and carryouts will be available at4 p.m.

A night of Christian music Christian concert will be held at Sam Yoders Concert Hall on Friday, Oct. 14. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:15 for general admission. Concert starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for concert only (food available for purchase) or $30 for concert and dinner. Concert is free for children under 12.

St. Lukes fundraiser St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Seaford will host a Night of Shopping on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m., at Wheatons, formerly Tulls, along Stein Highway, Route 20 west. Wheatons will be open that evening to only those who have purchased a $5 admission ticket from a member of St. Lukes Church. That ticket will entitle you to a 20% discount on most of the stores merchandise.The Christmas shop will also be open for early holiday purchases. Galestown UMC Homecoming Galestown United Methodist Church will have their Homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. at the church in Galestown, Md. Rev. Ruth Tull will be the speaker. Singers are Baptist Boys, Randy Marine and Janie K. Wooters. A buffet will follow in the Community House. Cookbooks will be available.

Youth Fishing Tournament Mt. Pleasant UMC, Laurel, will hold a Youth Fishing Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 2 to 5 p.m. For more information, call 245-9683.

Dinner, tour at Christ Lutheran Christ Lutheran Church located on Shipley Street in Seaford is holding a dinner and tour of the church on Monday, Oct. 31 and Monday, Nov. 28. Invitations were mailed to approximately 200 of the churchs closest neighbors. Call the church at 629-9755 for more information.

Delmar Wesleyans anniversary On Sunday, Oct. 16, Delmar Wesleyan Church will celebrate its 90th anniversary as a church. The morning service begins at 11 a.m. with a guest speaker. There will be special music from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The evening service begins at 6 p.m., and also includes a guest speaker and special music. The church is located at 800 East St., Delmar, Md. Come out and join our church in this special day of celebration.

Yard sale and luncheon A yard sale and luncheon to benefit Wheatley United Methodist Church will be held at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15. Breakfastand lunch sandwiches including oyster fritters and homemade soups will be available. The church community hall is located at the intersection of Sharptown Road (MD 313) and Wheatley Church Road between Sharptown and Eldorado, Md.
