Awana Clubs at Alliance Church Awana clubs are being held at Atlanta Road Alliance Church on Wednesdays from 6:45 to 8:25 p.m., for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. Sparks (K-second grade) ignites the curiosity of early elementary kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. T&T (Truth & Training) engages third- through sixth-graders by answering their questions about God and the Bible, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ's grace. Financial Peace University Harvest Christian Church will host Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, a biblically-based, video-driven, small group program that teaches how to make the right decisions with money to achieve your financial goals and experience true financial peace. Mission Literacy Training workshop The Salvation Army of Sussex County invites potential volunteers to a Mission Literacy Training Workshop at Sussex Chapel in Seaford, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at The Salvation Army, 23431 Sussex Highway, Seaford. There is no charge. Dawn Sharp from the New Jersey Division of The Salvation Army will be leading and teaching the training. The Salvation Army will be using Mission Literacy as one of the components for a new program that will launch in September called "Music and More" in partnership with Blades Elementary School to teach 3rd and 4th graders to play the cornet, to sing and to be better readers.
