Awana Clubs at Alliance Church Awana clubs are being held at Atlanta Road Alliance Church on Wednesdays from 6:45 to 8:25 p.m., for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. Sparks (K-second grade) ignites the curiosity of early elementary kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. T&T (Truth & Training) engages third- through sixth-graders by answering their questions about God and the Bible, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christs grace. Free weekly soup social A free weekly soup social is held every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 510 S. Central Ave., Laurel. For details, call 875-4233.

Thrift Shop open Saturdays St. Johns Thrift Shop located at 259 N. Conwell St. in Seaford, is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. A variety of infant, toddler, youth and adult clothing is available. Housewares, bedding and childrens books are also available.

Free Clothes Closet Cannon Mennonite Church to hold 3rd annual free clothes closet. A free lunch will also be provided. Located at 8011 Cannon Rd. (Route 18) in Bridgeville. Community Womens Conference The Community Womens Conference extends an invitation to all women to join them for their 4th annual conference, "Extreme Transformation - Spring Cleaning for the Heart and Mind," at the Atlanta Road Alliance Church in Seaford, on Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10. The guest speaker will be Paula Harris, founder and director of Transformed Worldwide Ministries, a nondenominational teaching ministry and outreach to women and the ones they love. Praise and worship will be led by Kay Dukes of Milton. There will be workshops on Saturday and a bazaar. Cost is $20 and registrations are due by Feb. 18. Cost is $30 after Feb. 18. Marriage seminar Clarence Street Church of God, Seaford, will host a Marriage Seminar at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18 at 8:30 a.m. Secretary General, Dr. Wallace J. Sibley (Church of God International) and Mrs. Dorothy Sibley will be the facilitators.

Free lunch and clothing Seaford Wesleyan Church will sponsor a "free lunch and clothing" on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at St. Lukes Episcopal Church, 202 North St., Seaford. Everyone is welcome.

Old Christ Church League dinner The public is cordially invited to the annual dinner and meeting of Old Christ Church League on Saturday, Feb. 18, at St. Philips Episcopal Church, 6th Street and S. Central Ave., Laurel. Old Christ Church, Broad Creek Hundred, dates from 1771. Monthly Sunday services are held during the summer. Concerts and special services, including weddings, are held throughout the year. Old Christ Church League is charged with the mission of preserving and protecting this historical treasure. The agenda is as follows: social hour - 6 p.m.; dinner - 7 p.m.; meeting and presentation - 8 p.m. Speaker will be Dale W. Clifton Jr., director of the DiscoverSea Shipwreck Museum in Fenwick Island. Open Mike Christian Night Open Mike Christian Night will be held at The Lighthouse Church, 27225 Kaye Rd., Laurel, on the first and third Friday of every month from 7 to 9 p.m. Free admission and free snacks. Bring your singing talents - CD or musical instrument. One person, group singers, young to seniors welcome. Enjoy a lot of singing, praises, testimonials to the Lord.
