Open mike Christian Night Open mike Christian Night will be held at the Lighthouse Church at 27225 Kaye Road, just off Rt. 9 County Seat Hwy., on the first and third Friday of every month through April 20, from 7-9 p.m. Free admission and free snacks. Free classical piano concert The Seaford ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) invites the public to celebrate the anniversary of the Relief Society with a free piano concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 23. Guest recitalist is Linda Field, co-founder of the Southern Delaware Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Light refreshments will be served after the concert. Lenten worship, fellowship and study All Saint's Episcopal Church, 10th & Grove streets, Delmar, is offering an order of worship for the evening, followed by a soup supper, and viewing and discussion of The Teaching Company DVD, "The Cathedral," by Dr. William R. Cook on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Gospel groups to perform Brian Free & Assurance, the Dixie Melody Boys and Mark Bishop will perform at Parkside High School in Salisbury at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 14. The event is sponsored by Snethen United Methodist Church. Tickets are $17 in advance for adults, $20 at the door and $6 for kids ages 10 and under. Parenting panel seminar On Tuesday, March 27 at 7 p.m. the Saint Matthews Men's Fellowship Group will be sponsoring, for the first time ever, a collaborative group panel seminar. "Making a Difference in Christian Parenting" will be held at Saint Mathews First Baptist Church on Wolfe Street Ext. in Laurel. This is a cross sector parenting seminar for those who parent, work with young children in early care and education centers, school age centers, family child care, Head Start, early intervention and home visiting. Hymn sing at Galestown UMC Galestown United Methodist Church is hosting a Hymn Sing at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 25. The Christ Church of Federalsburg, "O What a Savior," created by Russell Mauldin and Sue C. Smith and directed by Gloria Dill, will be performed. A buffet dinner will follow at the Community Hall.

Thrift Shop open Saturdays St. John's Thrift Shop located at 259 N. Conwell St. in Seaford, is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. A variety of infant, toddler, youth and adult clothing is available. Housewares, bedding and children's books are also available.

Good Friday service Jim Hughes Ministries from Newfield, N.J. will present the drama "Gethsemane" on Good Friday, April 6, 7 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 201 S. Main St. (at the corner of Main and Maple) in Federalsburg, Md. All are welcome and a love offering will be taken.

Allegiance Quartet to perform Christ's Church of New Hope will hold a time of worship, fellowship and revival on March 25-27, with the Allegiance Quartet at the Banquet Hall next to Jimmy's Grille in Bridgeville. The Allegiance Quartet provides a mixture of contemporary and southern gospel music to complement their relevant Bible messages. March 25 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and at 7 p.m. on March 26-27. 'Burlie's Bon Voyage' at SU Power Production Ministries will present "Burlie's Bon Voyage," a children's musical about Noah and the animals, on March 23, 24 at 7 p.m. and March 25 at 2 p.m., at Holloway Hall at Salisbury University. The musical will benefit Salisbury Christian School and Power Production Ministries. Tickets, which are $10 for adults and senior citizens and $5 for children 12 and under, are available online at, at Trinity United Methodist Church and at the door.

Military persons gathering Retired, active and inactive military persons, please join us. Chicken and Crust Dinner St. Stephen's United Methodist Church on State Street in Delmar is sponsoring a Chicken and Crust Dinner in Camelot Hall (attached to the church) on Saturday, March 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. Adults are $12, kids are $6 and kids under 3 are free. Easter musical presented The Atlanta Road Alliance Church choir, under the direction of Richard Trice, will present an Easter musical, "The Sacrifice," at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 6 and 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 8. Written by Steve Moore, "The Sacrifice" is a moving and dramatic story of the first-hand remembrances of the death and resurrection of Jesus. Financial Peace University St. John's United Methodist Church located on Pine & Poplar streets in Seaford is offering Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. The class begins April 11. Concert to benefit Survivors Fund The "Light of Hope" Gospel Concert to benefit the Sussex County Cancer Survivors Fund will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 30, at Conley's United Methodist Church in Angola. Come and enjoy a mix of praise and worship music. Headliners include The Reminders, Richard Lindale, the Unity Male Chorus, Scrubgrass and Langley, Bob Lougheed, "Good Friday" (Tirone and Jennifer Hack), Calvary National Youth Group, the Cape Henlopen Gospel Choir, the O'Day Family, Grace-N-Mercy Ministries, Conley's Choir and Conley's Praise Band. The Sussex County Cancer Survivors Fund assists cancer patients with financial needs while receiving treatment at the Tunnell Cancer Center. Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door. Homemade Easter eggs for sale Homemade Easter Eggs will be for sale from Christ Lutheran Church. These eggs were the first ever and still are the best on the shore. Flavors include peanut butter, coconut cream and butter cream. Eggs are $3.50 each. Call 629-9751 or 629-9755.

Tharps to perform The Tharps are coming to Christ Evangelistic Church at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28. The Tharps travel the world spreading the Gospel through music and preaching. Easter Egg Hunt Laurel Baptist Church will have an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Open to all children from newborn to 10-years-old. Besides the egg hunt there will be a moon bounce and someone will speak about the different breeds of chicken and eggs. The church is located at 33056 Bi-State Blvd.

Awana Clubs at Alliance Church Awana clubs are being held at Atlanta Road Alliance Church on Wednesdays from 6:45 to 8:25 p.m., for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. Sparks (K-second grade) ignites the curiosity of early elementary kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. T&T (Truth & Training) engages third- through sixth-graders by answering their questions about God and the Bible, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ's grace.
