Awana Clubs at Alliance Church Awana clubs are being held at Atlanta Road Alliance Church on Wednesdays from 6:45 to 8:25 p.m., for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. National Day of Prayer service The Ladies Auxiliary of Greenwood Memorial VFW Post 7478 and Area Coordinator Dr. Michaele S. Russell will sponsor a service for the National Day of Prayer at Hickory Ridge Congregational Church, Rt. 13, near Greenwood. The service will be held on Thursday, May 3 at 7 p.m. Pastor Wayne Sommers will be the keynote speaker and many other area pastors will offer prayers for our country. Witness To Innocence speaker On Friday, May 4 at 7 p.m., the Social Justice Committee of Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach is hosting a presentation by Kirk Bloodsworth, the first exonerated death row prisoner from the Witness to Innocence Program. GriefShare program offered Community members who have experienced the death of a family member or friend are invited to register for the GriefShare program held at St. John's United Methodist Church. This program features Christ-centered, biblical teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. You will find encouragement, comfort and help in grieving the death of a spouse, child, parent, sibling, other family member or friend. Robert Collins and his wife, the Rev. Danese Collins will lead the sessions. Both leaders have completed additional course work in counseling the bereaved and grieving. Annual Kiwanis Prayer Breakfast On Saturday, May 12, the Kiwanis Club of Bridgeville is sponsoring the Annual Community Prayer Breakfast at 8 a.m. at Union United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
