St. Philip's Holy Week services
St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 600 S. Central Ave. in Laurel, will celebrate Holy Week and Easter services at the church beginning with an Agape Meal "Around the Cross" at 6 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, April 13, followed by Holy Eucharist and Stripping of the Altar. Friday, April 14, there will be a combined service with Christ United Methodist Church. The service begins at Christ U.M. at 7 p.m. and concludes with a contemporary Stations of the Cross at St. Philip's. On Easter Sunday there will be a service of Holy Eucharist at 9:30 a.m. with child care provided.

All Walks of Life schedule
The following are upcoming events at All Walks of Life Ministries. On Saturday, April 15, noon there will be a day in the park in Frankford at the Frankford Park. On Sunday, April 16, at 11 a.m. there will be an Easter program. All are welcome. The Church is located at 30599 N. Dual Highway in Laurel. For details contact Loretta Fields at 337-8856. St. Luke's observes Holy Week
St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Seaford, continues Holy Week with a Maundy Thursday Agape Supper at 6 p.m. in the Parish House, followed by Holy Eucharist at 7 p.m. in the church with Stripping of the Altar, Reserving of the Sacrament and a Prayer Vigil beginning at 8 p.m. The Good Friday service will begin at noon with the Good Friday Liturgy, Holy Communion from the Reserved Sacrament and the reading of the Passion Gospel. At 7 p.m., the Community Good Friday service will be held at Gethsemane UMC with Vicki Reinsfelder, lay associate at St. Luke's preaching the 5th Word. The Liturgy of Christ at the Tomb will be read at 10 a.m. on Holy Saturday and at 7 p.m., April 15, the Great Vigil of Easter, "The Queen of Feasts," will begin. The Vigil begins in darkness, continues with lighting of candles, singing of the Exsultet, and scripture readings, and concludes with the celebration of the first Eucharist of Easter, complete with Alleluias, flowers and ringing of bells. On Easter Day, the Sunday of the Resurrection, there will be one service of Holy Eucharist at 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

Easter Latin Mass
A Latin mass according to the Missal of 1962 is celebrated on the third Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover. The mass will be celebrated on April 16. The mass is always a Missa Cantata using traditional Gregorian chant. Call 302-674-5781.

First Baptist Easter Cantata
The choir and the drama players of the First Baptist Church of Seaford invites the public to attend their production of "He Is Risen Indeed!" on Sunday, April 16, at 11 a.m., in the First Baptist Church of Seaford auditorium. This year's Easter cantata features new Easter music written and arranged by Ron and Shelly Hamilton, and tells the story of a Christian lady named Mrs. Pepper who doubts her ability to serve the Lord, even as she inspires everyone around her. Union UMC Easter service
Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville will have its Easter sunrise service on Sunday, April 16, at 6:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served in fellowship hall. There will be a free will offering. The Rev. Gary S. Tulak is the pastor.

Easter Musical at Wesleyan Church
Laurel Wesleyan Church will present a dramatic Easter musical, "More Than Just A Man," on Thursday, April 13, at 7 p.m.; Good Friday, April 14, at 7 p.m.; and Easter Sunday, April 16, at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Nursery will be provided. For details contact the office at 875-5380.

Trinity Easter sunrise service
Sunrise Service will be held on Easter Sunday, April 16, at Trinity United Methodist Church (near Trap Pond) at 6:30 a.m.. A fellowship breakfast will follow the service. Everyone is invited.

Greenwood UMC Holy Week
Greenwood United Methodist Church will have Good Friday service at 3 p.m.; Easter Sunrise service at 7 a.m., followed by a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m.; and Easter Service at 11 a.m. Call 349-4047.

Easter Musical at Alliance Church
The Choir of the Atlanta Road Alliance Church, Seaford, will present the Easter cantata, "Amazing Love," on Thursday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 16, at 10:30 a.m. Written by Keith Ferguson and Bruce Greer and directed by Richard Trice, the musical is based on the Gospel of John, presenting the life of Jesus. From the opening verses to the end of the Gospel with the resurrected, reigning Christ, this is a worship experience. The Atlanta Road Alliance Church is located at 22625 Atlanta Road, 1-1/2 miles north of the intersection of Stein Highway and Atlanta Road. The concert is free. Easter Fun Day celebration
Seaford Wesleyan Church will have an "Easter Fun Day" on Saturday, April 15, from noon to 2 p.m. Children ages 2 through 12 are encouraged to attend. There will be games, prizes and an Easter egg hunt. Lunch will be served. There is no fee. Seaford Wesleyan Church is located at 26630 Sussex Highway. Call 628-1020.

Open door for returning Catholics
If you are a Catholic who has been away from the church for a while, Our Lady of Lourdes parish invites you to consider renewing a relationship with the Catholic Church. There will be informal listening sessions and an update of the Catholic faith in the parish hall, 532 Stein Highway, Seaford, on Tuesday, April 18, at 7 p.m. Call 629-7991.

Centenary Holy Week Services
Centenary U.M. Church, corner of Poplar and Market streets, Laurel, will have a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. on April 13. Holy Communion will be offered. Centenary will have a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. on April 14.

Easter Sunrise Service
There will be a community Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 16, at the Bridgeville Cemetery pond at 6:30 a.m. with breakfast following at Union United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

Faith Alive at St. Luke's
St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Front Street, Seaford, will host its first Faith Alive Weekend, Friday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30. The weekend will begin with a Friday evening parish supper, followed by activities for youth, and fellowship for adults. Saturday will begin with morning neighborhood groups all over Seaford, followed by visitations of shut-ins, and a bag-lunch and discussion groups for adults. Teens and kids will have a busy Saturday, led by the Faith Alive Team at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, (lunch will be provided). Saturday evening will wind down with sharing, fellowship, and supper. The Faith Alive Program will conclude with Holy Eucharist on Sunday, with church school participation. Lunch in the Parish Hall will follow. The purpose of Faith Alive is to enhance Christian spiritual life and reaffirm baptismal vows.
