GriefShare program offered Community members who have experienced the death of a family member or friend are invited to register for the GriefShare program held at St. John's United Methodist Church. This program features Christ-centered, biblical teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. Robert Collins and his wife, the Rev. Danese Collins, will lead the sessions. Both leaders have completed additional course work in counseling the bereaved and grieving. GriefShare will be held on Wednesdays in the Wesley Lounge of St. John's United Methodist Church. To register or for questions, call 629-9466. Child care is not provided.

VBS at Laurel Baptist Church "Amazing Wonders: Aviation" is this year's theme for Vacation Bible School at Laurel Baptist Church. Registration will be June 25 with classes until June 29 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The church is located at 33056 Bi-State Blvd. For more information, call Shirley at 875-2314.

Consignment Boutique, Art Gallery The Church Mouse Consignment Boutique and Art Gallery, a mission of Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville, is now open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A selection of quality furniture, home décor and ladies accessories (jewelry, scarves, handbags) are for sale. Like items are accepted for consignment - the commission fee for these items are 40% to consignor for items selling under $100 and 50% for items over $100. Local art work is also on display and for sale. If you are a local artist and want to display your work for sale in the gallery section there is a fee of 10% for items priced under $50 and 15% for items $51-$150 and a 20% fee for items over $150. Carman live in concert The Fish Locker presents Carman Live on Friday, July 13, at the Holiday Park Campground in Greensboro, Md. Carman has packed stadiums and arenas for over 20 years and has sold 10 million records. Tickets are $12 and $15. The fundraiser benefits the Soweto Orphanage & Widows Center outside Nairobi, Africa and a mission team to serve there.

Young Adult Choir in concert John Wesley United Methodist Church in Seaford presents the Young Adult Choir live in concert on Saturday, June 30, at 6 p.m. Come and rejoice with us. A free-will offering will be taken.

Sussex County Prayer Breakfast Tickets are now on sale for the 35th annual Sussex County Prayer Breakfast, to be held Monday, June 18, with Dr. Fred Antonelli of Life Counseling Center as the featured guest speaker.

Dr. Fred Antonelli is a Certified Marriage and Family Temperament Therapist specializing in crisis marriage and pastoral counseling. He has served as a former senior pastor for 23 years. He also was host for nine years of the popular nationally syndicated Christian teen and young adult radio show, Rock Alive, heard over both the CBN Radio Network and the Salem Radio Network. He is also a trans-denominational consultant to churches through leadership training, conflict resolution, mediation and church restructuring. The Sussex County Prayer Breakfast is held each year to bring citizens and community leaders together for a morning of ministry, music, and personal reflection. Ticket sales and community sponsorships from individuals, organizations and businesses help support this annual event. Former County Councilman Dale R. Dukes is again volunteering his time to coordinate the breakfast. The breakfast will begin at 6:45 a.m., June 18, at Crossroad Community Church, Route 404 and State Forest Road, west of Georgetown. The ministry and music portion of the program will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. Tickets are $15 per person, or $110 per table of eight, and will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. VBS at Centenary UMC Centenary United Methodist Church, Poplar and Market streets, Laurel, will hold Vacation Bible School, "Adventures on Promise Island" from June 25-29, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Children from the ages of 4 through 6th grade are welcome to attend. Each day children will learn through the Bible story, music, songs, crafts, games and snacks. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Register by picking up a form at the church office.
