Consignment Boutique, Art Gallery The Church Mouse Consignment Boutique and Art Gallery, a mission of Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville, is now open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All proceeds go to Union United Methodist Church. Cornerstone Shoppe The Cornerstone Shoppe (a fundraiser) is now open at Christ the Cornerstone Community Church, corner of Bethel and Seaford Rd, Laurel. On sale are collectibles, gifts, toys, Christmas decor and more, jewelry, furniture, and items too numerous to list. Stop in on Thursday from noon to 7 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., or Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to see bargains galore.

Lightning Strikes concert series The Lightning Strikes concert series, at The Lighthouse Church located at 27225 Kaye Rd., just off Rt. 9, County Seat Highway at Dukes Lumber Road, Laurel, is held every second and fourth Saturday of the month. There is a $4 donation at the door and ages 12 and under are free. Don't forget to ask for a "reward card" to save on future admission and shakes. Appreciation Service Men For Change Ministry will host an Appreciation Service at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Community Civic League Building, located at 3439 Laurel Grove Road, Federalsburg, Md. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Khalid Mumin, superintendent of the Caroline County Public School System. Tickets are $15. Refreshments will be served. The public is invited. Writing group Kingdom Writers Fellowship (KWF), a Christian group of aspiring writers, is welcoming new members. Open Mike Christian Night Open Mike Christian Night will be held the first and third Friday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m., at The Lighthouse Church, located at 27225 Kaye Rd., just off Rt. 9, County Seat Highway at Dukes Lumber Road. Praise Band wanted A local church in Laurel is looking to start a Praise Band for their 10 a.m. service. If you love God and have musical talent, consider joining us for worship and sharing your talent. Singers, guitars, drums, whatever you can do will be wonderful. Mitten Tree at Don's Tree Farm Donations of new hats, scarves, gloves and mittens are needed for a Mitten Tree to help area children. Donations can be dropped off each weekend at Don's Tree Farm, 6396 Hickman Rd., Greenwood. Choir presents 'Canticle of Christmas' The Atlanta Road Alliance Church choir, under the direction of Richard Trice, will present "Canticle of Christmas" on Friday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m. "Canticle of Christmas" is a special blend of familiar carols and newer seasonal songs that take the listener on a journey back to that very first Christmas with the story retold entirely in song. St. Luke's distributes coats St. Luke's Episcopal Church distributed over 100 lightly used coats, sweaters, sweatshirts, warm hats, gloves and scarves to those needing warm clothing for the winter. These items were donated by members of the community. People dropped by the Parish Hall on Saturday, Nov. 24, to make their selections.

Christmas Handbell Concert A Christmas Handbell Concert featuring the Capital Ringers of Dover will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Centenary United Methodist Church in Laurel.

Jerry Jones Ministries in concert Jerry Jones Ministries will be in concert at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Seaford Kiwanis Club Christmas Dinner, Methodist Manor Fellowship Hall, Middleford Road, Seaford.
