Lightning Strikes concert series The Lightning Strikes concert series, at The Lighthouse Church located at 27225 Kaye Rd., just off Rt. 9, County Seat Highway at Dukes Lumber Road, Laurel, is held every second and fourth Saturday of the month. Marriage video series Marriage can be the source of our greatest success or our greatest failure. Christ's Church of New Hope wants to help you build a strong marriage with a four part video series, "Making the Most of Your Marriage," by Dr. John Maxwell. Dr. Maxwell will identify the reasons for marital deterioration while helping couples understand the ingredients of a strong marriage. Learn about the top ten marriage builders and the top ten marriage killers along with the practical steps to take in solving the problems you face. The series will be shown on Fridays at 7 p.m. at 811 East Ivy Dr., Seaford. Writing group Kingdom Writers Fellowship (KWF), a Christian group of aspiring writers, is welcoming new members. Precious Memories Gospel Band The Precious Memoris Gospel Band will perform at Concord United Methodist Church on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 3 pm. Dedicated to sharing their witness in a Country/Southern gospel style, the group began their ministry over five years ago and travels to different towns throughout the Delmarva Peninsula and adjoining states. Benefit Concert at Christ United Christ United Methodist Church in Laurel, is hosting a benefit concert in memory of Pastor Mike McGee to collect non-perishable food for those in the Laurel area. This event will be held on Sunday, Jan. 27, starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m. The featured groups are "Revived" and "All 4 Him."

GriefShare program offered If you are hurting from the loss of a loved one, please consider attending GriefShare, a Christ-centered, biblically based support group for people who are grieving. Weekly sessions begin on January 31 at 6:30 p.m. at Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church Street, Milford. Please call the church office for additional information or to register at 422-8111.

Open Mike Christian Night Open Mike Christian Night will be held the first and third Friday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m., at The Lighthouse Church, located at 27225 Kaye Rd., just off Rt. 9, County Seat Highway at Dukes Lumber Road. Awana Clubs at Alliance Church Awana Clubs are being held at Atlanta Road Alliance Church on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 to 8:25 p.m. for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Stop in on Thursday from noon to 7 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., or Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to see bargains galore.
