Revival Meeting at Salvation Army A Revival Meeting will be held at The Salvation Army on Rt. 13 in Seaford from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25. Annual Gospel Meeting Join Laurel Church of Christ for their Annual Gospel Meeting from Jan. 26-29. Enjoy a week of fellowship and study on Lessons from James. Lessons from James starts on Sunday, Jan. 26, with a Bible Study at 9 a.m. and worship to follow. Dramatic Dessert Theater Tour Power Productions Ministries presents a fundraiser, The Dramatic Dessert Theater Tour. Join us for a night of all-you-can-eat elegant desserts, like Creme Brulee, followed by a night of entertaining drama. The fundraiser, which benefits St. Stephens UMC, will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, at St. Stephens UMC, Camelot Hall, Delmar. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and kids under 4 are free. Get tickets at the door the night of the event, at the church office or at Power Productions. Special guests at Centenary UMC Centenary United Methodist Church in Laurel welcomes Delmarva Teen Challenge as their special guests on Sunday, Jan. 26 at their 10 a.m. worship service. Centenary is located at the corners of Market and Poplar streets in Laurel. All are welcome.

Hymn Sing at Concord UMC A hymn sing will be held at Concord United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26. Featured performers are Kingdom Sounds, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Primrose, Bob DiGennaro, Joe Hall and Derek Mullin. The public is invited. Concord UMC is located at 25322 Church Rd. Hymn Sing at St. Pauls UMC St. Pauls UMC Church invites the community to its first Hymn Sing for the 2014 season on Sunday, Jan. 26. This months Hymn Sing will feature The Homeland Singers from Salisbury, Md. The Homeland Singers are a Southern Gospel Group comprised of family members that span the generations (ages 19 to 49+). A love offering will be taken to benefit their ministry. Doors open at 5 p.m. with local live music from 5:15 until 6 p.m. when our featured group will present their program.St. Pauls UMC is located at 32827 Old Stage Rd. (off of Rt. 13), Laurel.

Gift Shoppe dinner Christ the Cornerstone Community Church in Laurel is closing its 10 year church fundraising event, Thee Cornerstone Gift Shoppe. 

Prices have been slashed on gift items and display cabinets.  One time clearance sale only. The sale will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30 (AYCE chicken & dumpling dinner); Friday, Jan. 31, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, Feb. 1, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Scrapple sandwiches, hot dogs and soup).Join us for good buys and good food as we say thank you to the community for their great support of this project.  The AYCE Chicken & Dumpling dinner on Thursday, Jan. 30 from 4 to 7 p.m., prepared by My Turn to Cook, will also feature potatoes, string beans, dessert and beverage. Pancake & Sausage Dinner The Men of Faith group at Christ United Methodist Church is having an all you can eat Pancake & Sausage Dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, for $8 per person.

Chicken n Dumplin Dinner The United Methodist Men of St. Johns Church in Seaford will hold a Chicken n Dumplin Dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, in the churchs Fellowship Hall.

Lightning Strikes concerts The Lightning Strikes concert series, at The Lighthouse Church, located at 27225 Kaye Rd., just off Rt. 9, County Seat Highway at Dukes Lumber Road, Laurel, is held every second and fourth Saturday of the month. There is a $4 donation at the door and ages 12 and under are free. For details, go to or call 875-7814.

Open Mic Christian Night Open Mic Christian Night is the first and third Friday of every month from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Lighthouse Church located at 27225 Kaye Rd., just off Rt. 9, County Seat Highway at Dukes Lumber Road. Bring your singing talents - CD or musical instrument. One person, group singers, young to seniors welcome. Free admission and free snacks. For details call Dean at 875-2115.
