Lenten worship, fellowship, study All Saints Episcopal Church, 10719 E. Grove St., Delmar is holding special services. Each Wednesday of Lent, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the church will journey with Jesus through key scriptures and events of Holy Week: March 26, Jesus Washes the Disciples Feet; April 2, The Last Supper; April 9, The Betrayal, Arrest and Crucifixion of Jesus. Purity Tea at The Ark The Seaford Wesleyan Church, The Ark, will hold their second annual Purity Tea at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 29. This free event is a wonderful opportunity for young women, ages 12 and up, to learn about Gods special plan for them. The event is for girls who have already made their vows along with those who are thinking about it. If you know a young lady who would like to attend, call the church at 628-1020. Girls must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The deadline to sign up is March 16. Lent and Easter Services Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville invites you to attend Lent and Easter Services: Palm Sunday Service, Sunday, April 13, 10 a.m. - entire music department will perform. No childrens church or Sunday school. A luncheon will be held in the Fellowship Hall after the service. Holy Thursday Service, Thursday, April 17, 7 p.m. - traditional communion will be offered. Good Friday, April 18, noon to 3 p.m. - the church will be open for a time of reflection and prayer. Good Friday Service, 7 p.m. - 7 Last Words of Christ will be read by members of the congregation. Easter Sunday, April 20, 6:30 a.m. - Sunrise Service at the cemetery pond behind the church. Regular service will begin at 9 a.m. and the traditional service at 11. Easter services at Concord Church Concord United Methodist Church, 25322 Church Rd., Seaford, invites you to attend their Easter services. A Holy Thursday service will be held at 7 p.m. on April 17 and traditional communion will be offered. Easter Sunday, April 20, will feature a Sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast in the Community House. Afterwards, the regular worship service will begin at 9, followed by church school. Chicken and Crust Dinner St. Stephens UMC in Delmar will hold a Chicken and Crust Dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 22. Cost is $12 for adults, $5 for kids ages 4 to 12 and free for kids ages 3 and under. The dinner will be held in Camelot Hall next to the church on East State Street in Delmar.

Weekly Lenten Fish Dinners Lenten Fish Dinners will be served every Friday during the Lenten season in the parish hall of Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Stein Hwy. in Seaford. Dinner dates are March 21, 28, April 4 and 11. Dinner is your choice of baked, breaded flounder or vegetable lasagna. Each entrée includes sides, homemade soup and coleslaw, rolls, drinks, and homemade desserts. Cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children under age 10. Proceeds will benefit the annual scholarship fund.
Revival with the Garlocks A revival with Jonathan and Marcia Garlock of Missouri will be held at the Delmar Church of God of Prophecy at 7 p.m. on March 21 and 22 and 11 a.m. on March 23. The Garlocks, who will minister with the word and song, have served as missionaries throughout the world. Refreshments will be served on Saturday evening. Everyone is welcome.
Hymn Sing at St. Pauls St. Pauls United Methodist Church in Laurel invites the community to this months Hymn Sing on Sunday, March 23. This month features Gods Country Crossroads a local group from Worcester County, Md., that is celebrating 10 years of sharing Gods love and forgiveness through their music. The 7th Hour will perform from 5:15 to 6 p.m. The featured music ministry program starts at 6 and a love offering will be taken to benefit their music ministry. UMW hosts Calendar Party Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville will host a Calendar Party to benefit the United Methodist Women (UMW) and the various mission activities which the UMW support. Twelve tables will be decorated to represent each month of the year, dessert and drinks will be served. The evening features a variety of entertainment including music and a performance by Sticks Youth Ministry, storytelling set to music by members of our youth group. Cost is $5 per person and tickets must be purchased in advance as there is a limit of 96 tickets. Soup and Sandwich Luncheon Concord United Methodist Church will host a Soup and Sandwich Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, at the Community House.
