Weekly Lenten Fish Dinners The final Lenten Fish Dinner will be served Friday, April 11, 4:30-7 p.m. in the parish hall of Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Stein Highway in Seaford (across from Family Dollar Store). Dinner is your choice of baked, breaded flounder or vegetable lasagna. Each entrée includes homemade sides, soup, coleslaw, desserts and rolls and drinks. Cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children under age 10. Proceeds will benefit the Knights of Columbus annual scholarship fund.

Church choir to perform The Atlanta Road Alliance Church choir, under the direction of Richard Trice, will present Blessed Redeemer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 18, and again at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 20. The musical collection includes jubilant triumphal entry songs, tender expressions of the Last Supper and Gethsemane, emotional portrayals of the Crucifixion and dynamic renderings of the Resurrection. The presentations are free. The church is located at 22625 Atlanta Road, Seaford.

National Day of Prayer Service The annual National Day of Prayer Service for the Greenwood area will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, at Agape Temple International Ministries, Inc., 40 Shulze Road, Greenwood. Many area churches will share in the service.  A free will offering for the National Day of Prayer Task Force will be taken. Refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow the service. The public is welcome.  For more information, contact Area Coordinator Dr. Michaele Russell at 349-4220.

Easter events at Laurel Wesleyan Laurel Wesleyan Church invites you to its Good Friday Service, Triumph not Defeat, at 7 p.m. on April 18. The Easter Sunday Celebration Service will be held at 9 and 10:45 a.m. A Childrens Egg Hunt for kids up to the 4th grade will follow the second service on Easter Sunday. Son Rise Service The Christian Church of Seaford will hold a Son Rise Service at 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 20. Everyone is welcome. A breakfast will follow the service. Southern Gospel Concert The award winning Southern Gospel Group, The Browders, will appear in concert at Snethen United Methodist Church in Mardela Springs, Md., at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 1. Events at Union UMC Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville will hold its annual Community Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 19. The event is rain or shine (held inside if it rains) and is open to toddlers through children in 6th grade. There will also be activities for kids and snacks. Everyone is welcome.  Evangelism classes, using the study guide, The Way of the Master, will begin Tuesday, April 22 and run through Tuesday, June 10. Classes, which meet at 7 p.m., are open to everyone but registration is required so that there will be enough study guides. We encourage everyone who doesnt have a home church to join us in worship on this special day. The contemporary service begins at 9 a.m. and features the churchs Praise Team. Childrens church begins at 9 and Sunday School classes for all ages begin at 10. The traditional service begins at 11. A six week Bible study about The Prodigal Son by Timothy Keller will begin on Tuesday, May 6. Study leader is the Rev. Martha Callaway. Classes will be held in the Colonial Room. Easter services at Concord Church Concord United Methodist Church, 25322 Church Rd., Seaford, invites you to attend their Easter services. A Holy Thursday service will be held at 7 p.m. on April 17 and traditional communion will be offered. Easter Sunday, April 20, will feature a Sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast in the Community House. Concert tickets on sale Tickets are on sale for the Unspoken Concert at Wyoming United Methodist Church, Dover on Saturday, April 12, at 7 p.m. Unspoken is a multi-cultural band comprised of Chad Mattson (vocalist) and Jon Lowry (bass) who are both from Maine, Mike Gomez (electric guitar) from the Dominican Republic, and Ariel Munoz (drums) who hails from Puerto Rico. The popular Christian bands tour comes on the heels of their top 10 Christian Music hits, Who You Are and Lift My Life Up and in support of the upcoming release of their self-titled new album. Kiwanis Sunrise Easter Service The Delmar Kiwanis Sunrise Easter Service will be held at 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, at the Delmar Football Field. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held in the gym.

Easter Passion Drama The Stein Highway Church of God located at 425 E. Stein Hwy., Seaford, will present an Easter Passion Drama, Hope Beyond The Cross, at 7 p.m. on Good Friday, April 18, and 10 a.m. on Easter Sunday. Everyone is invited to attend this free event. UMW hosts Calendar Party Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville will host a Calendar Party to benefit the United Methodist Women (UMW) and the various mission activities which the UMW support. Twelve tables will be decorated to represent each month of the year, dessert and drinks will be served. The evening features a variety of entertainment including music and a performance by Sticks Youth Ministry, storytelling set to music by members of our youth group. Cost is $5 per person and tickets must be purchased in advance as there is a limit of 96 tickets. Gospel Cafe returns The Gospel Cafe will open on Saturday, May 3 at Christ Evangelistic Church in Laurel. Dinner by Marilyns Catering will be held at 5 p.m. Music featuring Michael Falknor and Kaila Clucas from Delaware Teen Challenge will begin at 6. Easter services at Woodland Woodland United Methodist Church, 5123 Woodland Church Rd, Seaford, invites you to attend their Easter services.  Palm Sunday service will be held at 9 a.m. on April 17, followed by a New Member Reception. A Holy Thursday Service with communion will be held at 7 p.m. on April 17.  An Easter Egg Hunt for children through age 12 with be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 19. The Easter Sunday service, featuring the Woodland choir who will perform the Easter Cantata Day Three arranged by Russell Maudlin, will be held at 9 a.m.  The church is located approximately 4 1/2 miles west of Seaford next to the Woodland Ferry House.

Hymn Sing & Potluck Dinner St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Delmar will hold an Old Fashioned Hymn Sing & Potluck Dinner on Sunday, April 27 from 4 to 7 p.m., in Camelot Hall. Join us for an evening with the Homeland Singers. Bring a covered dish (donations only) to benefit St. Stephens UMC. Everyone is welcome.
