Messiah's Vineyard Messiah's Vineyard Church in Laurel is offering the following holiday events: Kid's Christmas Party - Sunday, Dec. 14 at 9:30 a.m. - pizza party, moon bounce, games, crafts, gifts and more. Ages 3-12. Kid's Christmas Program - The community is invited to a special Christmas program presented by MVC Kid's on Sunday, Dec. 21 at 9:30 a.m. Live animals, zip-lining angels, bell choir, special songs and dance. Christmas Eve Service - Wednesday, Dec. 24 from 6-7 p.m. - worship, message, candlelight communion.

'Lessons and Carols' Dec. 7 The board of directors of Old Christ Church League cordially invites the public to a Service of Lessons and Carols at Old Christ Church, Laurel at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7. The service will include contemporary and traditional Christmas music, including congregational Christmas carols. Come as you are dressed for the weather (Old Christ Church is not heated). What a wonderful way to begin the Advent/Christmas season! A free will offering will be taken for the restoration and preservation of Old Christ Church. Griefshare at St. John's Griefshare is being offered by St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, from 4-5:30 p.m., in the Wesley Lounge. On Sunday, Dec. 7, we will discuss The Uniqueness of Grief, part 2. We will discuss how relationships, past and present, affect our grief. We will also discuss how unresolved conflict with a loved one can affect our grieving process. For more information, call 629-9466. No children as childcare is not offered. Christmas at St. Luke's St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Front Street in Seaford, announces its schedule for Advent and Christmas. Advent, the season to listen and reflect which began Nov. 30, includes the following special services and programs:
  • Advent in Worship - Sundays at 9 a.m., Dec. 7, 14 and 21
  • Listen and Reflect - Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 10 and 17
  • Christmas Eve Celebration - Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 8 p.m.
  • Christmas Morning - Dec. 25, at 9 a.m.

Christmas Concert The public is invited to share in the joy of Christ's birth at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Bridgeville Banquet Center as Art Bush and Co. present their "Christmas Concert" with Christ's Church of New Hope. Art Bush and Co. is a quartet of Christian ministers (Art Bush, Tracy Tooley, Steven Foster and Jeff Bush) who have coordinated their collective talents for the past 20 years in touring the eastern United States to present a concert of contemporary and old-time Christmas favorites. This free concert is sponsored by Christ's Church of New Hope and will meet at the Banquet Center in Bridgeville (next to Jimmy's Grille). A free will offering will be received. Gospel Cafe 'Country Christmas' Join us at Christ Evangelistic Church in Laurel for the Gospel Cafe, "Country Christmas," at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Watch the parade at Mt. Olivet Come and see who will be visiting Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church during the Seaford Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 6. Delmar Community Carol Sing St. Stephens UMC presents the Delmar Community Carol Sing at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Delmar High/Middle School Auditorium. After caroling, all are welcome at St. Stephens' Camelot Hall for free soup, sandwiches and cookies. Please bring a canned good for distribution to local needy.

Hat, Scarf, Mitten Drive Don's Tree Farm in association with Georgetown Presbyterian Church is collecting new hats, scarves and mittens for local schools, Boys and Girls Clubs and other local charities.
