Easter Week services St. Luke's Church, located at 204 N. Front St., Seaford, invites everyone to worship during Holy Week, April 1-5. Maundy Thursday, 7 p.m. Good Friday, 7 p.m. Holy Saturday, 10 a.m. Easter Sunday, 9 a.m. St. Luke's celebrates the Holy Eucharist at 9 a.m. each Sunday. Griefshare at St. John's UMC Griefshare is being offered by St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, on Sunday, March 22 from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Wesley Lounge. The Journey of Grief Part 2 will show how the events surrounding their loved one's death affect their grief and how to put an effort into the healing. If you are living with grief, we invite you to join us for the 13 week non-denominational journey, From Mourning to Joy. No children as childcare is not provided. Call 629-9466 to register.

Open Mic Christian Night Open Mic Christian Night sponsored by Compassionate Shepherd Ministries will be held on Friday, March 20 from 7-9 p.m. at The Lighthouse Church, 27225 Kaye Rd., Laurel. The Island Boys will be in concert. Everyone is welcome to join us for a full night of gospel and praising. Free admission and snacks. A love offering will be taken for our many local outreach programs.

Southern Gospel Concert Snethen UMC will host The Browders, national southern gospel recording artists from Hiltons, Va., at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 27. A love offering will be taken and refreshments will follow. All are welcome to attend. Snethen UMC is located on Rt. 54 West (Delmar Road), Mardela Springs, Md. Spring Egg Hunt A Spring Egg Hunt for kids ages 12 and under will be held at the Christian Church of Seaford at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28. In addition to the egg hunt, there will be lunch and other activities. The church is located at 22581 Sussex Hwy., Seaford (across from Harley Davidson). Bring your own basket.

Hymn Sing St. Paul's UMC Church in Laurel invites the community to a night of worship at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 29. This month's Hymn Sing will feature the music ministry of The Sounds of Joy, a southern gospel group well known throughout Delmarva for their beautiful harmony, inspirational songs and skilled guitarists. A love offering will be taken to benefit their ministry.

Events at St. Stephens UMC St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Delmar will hold the following events in March: Saturday, March 21, 4-7 p.m. - Chicken and Crust Dinner, $12 for adults, $6 for kids, ages 3 and under are free Saturday, March 28/Sunday, March 29 - Soup Sale to benefit the church youth group. Noon to 2 p.m. pick up on Saturday or noon to 1 p.m. pick up on Sunday. Cost is $6 per quart (pre-orders preferred).

Varieties include chili, chicken noodle, vegetable soup, peas & dumplings. Yard and Bake Sale A Yard and Bake Sale will be held rain or shine on Saturday, March 21 from 7 a.m. to noon in the basement at Seaford Presbyterian Church. There will be a selection of antiques, glassware, kitchen items, collectables, toys, clothes and books. There will also be homemade goodies and scrapple sandwiches. The church is located on Rt. 13A, one half mile north of the Stein Highway Dunkin' Donuts by the National Guard Armory.

Chicken and Dumpling Dinner The UMW of Centenary United Methodist Church, Poplar & Market St., Laurel, will host an All-You-Can-Eat Chicken and Dumpling Dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 28. Cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children ages six to 12 and free for ages six and under.

Palm Sunday, Holy Week On Wednesday evenings through Lent from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., All Saints' Episcopal Church, 100 N. Tenth St., Delmar, will offer an Order of Worship followed by a soup supper, a DVD presentation and discussion on: The World's Greatest Churches. Join us on March 25 for The Rock-Hewn Churches of Ethiopia.

Palm Sunday, Holy Week Schedule March 29, Sunday of the Passion, 10 a.m. - with the Liturgy of the Palms and Holy Eucharist April 3- Liturgy for Good Friday followed by the Stations of the Cross: noon and 7 p.m. April 4 - Holy Saturday: Easter Vigil, Baptism and Holy Eucharist: 8 p.m. April 5 - Easter Day: The Sunday of the Resurrection, the Holy Eucharist: 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

Men of Elegance Fashion Show Men of Elegance, First Annual All Male Fashion Show, will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, at Church of God and Saints of Christ, 10016 Concord Rd., Seaford. Dinner will be served. Cost is a donation of $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. This event is sponsored by Sussex Community Gospel Ministries. For tickets, call Betty Murry at 337-8975.

'The Upper Room to the Empty Tomb' Journey through three unique services at Laurel Wesleyan Church this Easter, The Upper Room to the Empty Tomb.
