Financial Peace University Atlanta Road Alliance Church, 22625 Atlanta Rd., Seaford, will offer Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University (FPU) on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. beginning June 3. FPU is a biblically-based curriculum that teaches people how to handle money through God's ways. Taught on video by Dave Ramsey and the FPU teaching team, the class will help you achieve your financial goals by showing you how to eliminate debt, save for the future, and give like never before. UUMC sets Annual Plant Sale The annual plant sale at Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg, Md., will be held on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2. A wide variety of annuals and perennials will be for sale along with many hanging baskets, perfect for Mother's Day. Plant sale hours are: Friday - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday - 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call the church office at 410-754-9210.

Gospel Cafe Mother's Day Celebration The Gospel Cafe will hold a Special Mother's Day Celebration on Saturday, May 2 from 6-9 p.m. at Christ Evangelistic Church, Laurel. There will be a special presentation by our youth dedicated to all mothers. Dinner, catered by Marilyn, begins at 5 p.m. Cost is $10 per person and includes entree, dessert and drink. Sandwich Sale, Yard Sale Delmar Church of God of Prophecy in Laurel will hold a Sandwich Sale on Saturday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale will feature oyster sandwiches, crab cakes, soft crabs, chicken salad and more. There will also be baked goods and homemade ice cream.

Gospel concert at Delmar First Baptist Delmar First Baptist Church, Delmar, Md., will hold a gospel concert featuring the Delmarva Ramblers at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 17. Griefshare at St. John's UMC Griefshare is being offered by St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, on Sunday, May 3 from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Wesley Lounge. The path to healing is not always smooth and we need to prevent ourselves from getting stuck in grief. If you are living with grief, we invite you to join us for the 13 week non-denominational journey, From Mourning to Joy. No children as childcare is not provided. Call 629-9466 to register.

Ice Cream Sale at Mt. Zion Mt. Zion Methodist Church located on Rt. 13A between Seaford and Laurel will host an ice cream sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 16. Flavors include vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, banana, and pineapple. Pre-orders are encouraged but not required and may be placed by calling 875-3055 or 629-7110.

Open Mic Christian Night Open Mic Christian Night - Country Bluegrass Gospel for Jesus Night - sponsored by Compassionate Shepherd Ministries will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, May 1 at The Lighthouse Church in Laurel. The night will include guitars, banjos, mandolins and fiddles.

Special guests include Bill and Jean Crater and Janice Seymour and Tom Blades. Also appearing will be Connie and Allen Reustle, Wilson Sturgis, Gloria Holland, Bill Sando, Dean Adkins and many more singers. Free admission and snacks. A love offering will be taken for local outreach programs.

Anniversary celebration Ross Point Freedom Church will celebrate the pastor's sixth anniversary at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17. Guest preacher will be Pastor Helena Bailey of Kingdom Family Life Ministries, Millsboro. Host pastor is the Rev. Shirley M. Caldwell. Memorial Day Gospel Concert A Memorial Day Gospel Concert hosted by Faith Fellowship Church will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 25, at the Federalsburg Marina Park Pavilion in Federalsburg, Md. Featured artists will include Kingdom Sounds, God's Country Crossroads and Judy Laramore. Bring a chair and a friend. Concessions will be available and a love offering will be received.

Prayer Breakfast The Kiwanis Club of Delmar will hold their annual Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, May 9 starting at 9 a.m. in Camelot Hall at St. Stephens United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kenneth Athey will deliver the message and the choir of First Baptist Church will furnish the music. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased from Kiwanis members or at the door.

Reunion Quartet in concert Reunion Quartet from Princess Anne, Md., will be at Todds Chapel at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, to share their southern gospel music ministry. The church is located at 102 Todds Chapel Rd., Greenwood. All are invited to attend.

Spring Extravaganza Yard Sale Stop by "Old Bohemia" Saint Francis Xavier Shrine on Saturday, May 9, to find a huge assortment of items priced to sell quickly.
