Beef and Dumpling Dinner The Men of Zoar UMC will hold their semi-annual Beef and Dumpling Dinner from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23. Cost is $12 for adults and $8 for children. The church is located at 24463 Gravel Hill Rd., Millsboro. For more information, call Ralph at 934-6426.

Youth Community Prayer Breakfast Church of God and Saints of Christ in Seaford will hold its first Youth Community Prayer Breakfast of 2016 on Saturday, Jan. 16. All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast God's Men of Centenary Church in Laurel are sponsoring an "all-you-can-eat-breakfast" on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 from 7-9:30 a.m. to benefit the "Youth Project Fund."

The menu will include eggs, sausage and scrapple, fried potatoes, pancakes, coffee and orange juice. Adults $7, children (ages 6-12) $3 and under six free. If you like a hearty breakfast you don't want to miss this one.

Gospel Concert and Lasagna Dinner The Homeland Singers will sing in the new year with its Annual Gospel Concert and Lasagna Dinner on New Year's Eve, Thursday, Dec. 31, at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church in Delmar. Dinner starts at 5 p.m. and the concert starts at 7. Singers include Jack Andrews, Triple Praise and The Homeland Singers and guest. The menu includes dinner, salad, drinks, desserts and coffee.

Father Daughter Dance Mount Olivet's annual Father Daughter Dance will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 from 7-9:30 p.m. at Seaford High School. Tickets are available for purchase at Posey Palace and on The Bridge's website. Tickets are $15. Get your tickets early as the event has sold out in previous years.
