Mardi Gras Celebration A Mardi Gras Celebration to benefit the charities of the Knights of Columbus will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall in Seaford on Saturday, Feb. 6. Enjoy dinner, dancing and Music by DJ Karl featuring a mix of music from yesterday and today. Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner will be served at 6:30. The menu will feature chicken, chicken and sausage gumbo with rice, potato salad, collard greens, Mardi Gras cole slaw, dessert and cash bar. Tickets are $20 per person and will only be sold in advance. Tickets may be obtained at the Parish Office or from members of the Knights of Columbus.

Old Christ Church dinner On Saturday, Jan. 30, Old Christ Church League will hold its Annual Meeting and Dinner, and will also celebrate the 245th anniversary of the groundbreaking of Old Christ Church in Laurel. The celebration, to be held at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 600 S. Central Ave., Laurel, will commence with a social hour at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 and the meeting/program at 8. Featured in the festivities will be the Rev. Kirk Mariner, United Methodist minister and historian, who will perform selections from his album "Church Basement Songs - not quite reverent enough for upstairs." The cost of the evening is $20 per person, and ticket information can be obtained by calling 249-1085. Please make your reservations by Friday, Jan. 22.

Women's Prayer Breakfast Church of God and Saints of Christ in Seaford will hold a Community Women's Prayer Breakfast at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Church Hall. Gospel Choir in Concert John Wesley United Methodist Church, 804 Chandler St., Seaford, presents Sussex Community Gospel Mass Choir in Concert at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23. A free will offering will be taken to benefit the building fund.

Beef and Dumpling Dinner The Men of Zoar UMC will hold their semi-annual Beef and Dumpling Dinner from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23. Cost is $12 for adults and $8 for children. Father Daughter Dance Mount Olivet's annual Father Daughter Dance will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30 from 7-9:30 p.m. at Seaford High School.
