Oyster Sandwich Sale

Oyster sandwiches will be for sale on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Concord United Methodist Church Community House. Hot dogs, homemade pies and cakes, and beverages will also be available. Concord UMC is located at 25322 Church Rd., just off Concord Rd. (Rt. 20 E), near Seaford. 'Surviving the Holidays' seminar St. John's United Methodist Church in Seaford will host 'Surviving the Holidays' from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, in the Wesley Lounge. Holidays can include any special day in our memory which produce a sadness when we have to face the day without that special someone. We will help you develop a plan for these special days to make it easier to cope. To register, call 629-9466 so we can plan a workbook for each attendee.
The seminar is free. No children or childcare.

Mardi Gras Celebration

A Mardi Gras Celebration to benefit the charities of the Knights of Columbus will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall in Seaford on Saturday, Feb. 6.
Enjoy dinner, dancing and Music by DJ Karl featuring a mix of music from yesterday and today. Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner will be served at 6:30.
The menu will feature chicken, chicken and sausage gumbo with rice, potato salad, collard greens, Mardi Gras cole slaw, dessert and cash bar.
Tickets are $20 per person and will only be sold in advance. Tickets may be obtained at the Parish Office or from members of the Knights of Columbus.

Randy Chang in concert

Enjoy an inspiring piano performance and testimonial by Randy Chang of Smyrna at Christ United Methodist Church, 510 S. Central Ave., Laurel, at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21.
Randy and his family are a bold tribute to the human spirit and the great things that can be accomplished by continued commitment and trust in Our Lord. The Chang's family story tells of challenges, struggles, and great joys as Randy lives with Down Syndrome, as well as being legally blind.
In spite of these challenges, Randy has completed his college education, and been officially commissioned to ministry, as he serves nursing home residents with his piano selections and his testimony.Bring your family and friends to this free concert. Everyone is welcome.
Also, as an introduction to Randy Chang, his family and their life philosophy, join us for a DVD presentation, 'Waterwheel, The Story of Randy Chang,' at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12. Everyone is welcome.
