Griefshare at St. John's
Griefshare is being offered by St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford, on Sunday, April 3, from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Wesley Lounge. The Journey of Grief Part 1 will deal with goals to set during the long journey of grief. If you are living with grief, we invite you to join us for the 13 week nondenominational journey, From Mourning to Joy. Call 629-9466 to register. No children as childcare is not offered.

Learn about prayer
Do you wonder if anyone is listening when you pray? Are you self-conscious when asked to pray aloud? Do you get discouraged when prayers go seemingly unanswered?
These and other questions will be addressed during a 6-week study at Seaford Presbyterian Church, 701 Bridgeville Hwy. The class will be held on Thursdays at 6:16 p.m. or Sundays at 8:18 a.m. Classes begin March 31 or April 3. All are welcome. The study will be led by Pastor Laurie. Call 629-9077 to register.

Annual Purity Event
Seaford Wesleyan Church will host their 5th Purity Event on Saturday, April 23 at 2 p.m. This year's theme is Butterfly Kisses.
All girls ages 12 and up are encouraged to attend this free event. Each girl must be accompanied by her mother or the mother figure in her life. To sign up, call the church office at 628-1020 by April 20. 'Like' our Facebook page to get updates.

Annual Fish Fry
Agape Temple International Ministries, 40 Schulze Rd., Greenwood, will hold its Annual Fish Fry on Friday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fish dinners are $12 and chicken dinners are $10. Pre-paid orders are due by April 24.

Spring Hymn Sing
Galestown United Methodist Church will hold a Spring Hymn Sing at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 10. Join us for an afternoon of song, praise and fellowship featuring The Baptist Boys and Randy Marine. A buffet style meal will be held immediately following the service. Everyone is welcome.

Rock Church welcomes new pastor
Rev. Corinne Collins-Spiller is the new pastor of The New Rock Church of Seaford.
Rev. Corrinne first came to Rock Church Virginia Beach in the 1970s as a member. In the 1980s, she transitioned to Rock Church of the Eastern Shore of Virginia to train under the Rev. Paul Nolz. In the 1990s, she traveled to Seaford with the founding team of the Rock Church of Seaford to help establish the church. The Seaford church then helped support Rev. Corrinne when she was sent to Paris, France as a full-time missionary.
Upon return to the US, she joined the ministry team of the Rock Church in Rockland, Mass., where she was ordained in 1998. After marrying Robert E. Spiller in 2002, she presided over the Campton Baptist Church in Campton, N.H. In May 2014, she was ordained in the Rock ministerial fellowship and in June 2014 she and her husband moved to Virginia Beach where she became part of the ministry staff.
The New Rock Church in Laurel located at 30320 Seaford Rd., on Rt. 13A, held its first service on Sunday, March 6.

Breast Cancer Fundraiser
A Spaghetti Dinner to benefit Women Support Women will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 16 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 10th St., Delmar.
Cost is $7 per person and includes spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and drinks. Carry out available. Items will also be raffled.

Community Yard Sale

Vision of Faith Benefit Concert
Vision of Faith Choir will hold a Benefit Concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 16 at Church of God and Saints of Christ, 10016 Concord Rd., Seaford, to raise money for The Singers of Israel scholarship which is awarded to youth who have been active in their local choir and wish to further their education.
Enjoy award winning performers. Door prizes will be awarded. Admission is a donation of $5. Everyone is welcome.

Capital Ringers to perform
Capital Ringers, Inc., a nonprofit English handbell ensemble, will present a concert, 'Bach to Rock!,' at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 in the main sanctuary of St. John's. The concert will include arrangements from the Baroque period to today with favorites like Clair de Lune, Don't Stop Believin', Stairway to Heaven, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Rock Around the Clock, and more. A special guest will join the performers in this unique multimedia presentation.
A free will offering will be taken during the concert.

Birthday Celebration Service
A Birthday Celebration Service for Bishop Carlton Cannon Sr. will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, at Clarence Street Church of God, 744 Clarence St., Seaford. Guest preacher will be Pastor Craig N. Mathies Sr. of Zion Baptist Church, Cambridge Md.

Em-ings BBQ on April 2
Delmar Wesleyan Church, 800 E. State St., Delmar, Md., will hold an Em-ings BBQ on Saturday, April 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Carry-out only. Cost is $11. Baked goods will be available. Call Jim at 841-8874 for more information and to purchase tickets.

Sister to Sister Gathering to be held at St. John's UM Church
The Sister to Sister Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 16 at St. John;s United Methodist Church at 300 N. Pine Street in Seaford.
Check-in will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m., the program will take place from 10:30-11:30 a.m., and a catered luncheon will be served from noon-1:30 p.m.
The speaker will by Speaker Rev. Kari Jones, co-pastor of Connection Community Church in Middletown. The theme is The Imperfect Women in Jesus' Family Tree Who Inspire Us to Do God's Perfect Work. The registration fee is $8 with registration ending April 4. For more information, call 302-629-9466.
