150th Anniversary Celebration Help Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Church, Concord, celebrate its 150th anniversary at a gold and black tie event at Heritage Shores Country Club in Bridgeville at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 12. Music will be provided by Tony Smith. Cave Quest VBS Cave Quest VBS will be held at Concord UM Church, 25322 Church Rd., east of Seaford, from June 20-24. At Cave Quest, kids will explore what it means to follow Jesus through dark times. Kids will participate in Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into yummy treats, and experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures. Solid Rock Gospel Songfest The Solid Rock Gospel Songfest will be held at Victory Tabernacle Church of God, 28261 Seaford Rd., Laurel, on Saturday, June 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. Enjoy a night of gospel singing featuring Gloria Holland, Fran Vojacek, Bunky and Dottie Eye, and the Baptist Boys. Annual Biker's Day On Saturday, June 18, Mount Hope UMC, 5521 Finchville Reliance Rd., Federalsburg, Md., will hold its 3rd annual Biker's Day from noon to 5 p.m. Trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m. for best sports, best touring and best show bike. A biker's service will follow. Pastor Rev. Curtis Davis of Phillips Baptist Church, Philadelphia, will preach.

Ladies Day at St. Paul's St. Paul's UMC Church, 32827 Old Stage Rd., Laurel, will host Ladies Day on Saturday, June 11. Guest speaker is Joyce Igo, a Southern Gospel artist and songwriter from West Virginia. Her ministry is non-denominational and crosses cultural and racial barriers with ease. A continental breakfast will be served from 9 to 10 a.m. Program is 10 to noon. Reservations are encouraged but not required. Bring a friend and get a blessing. Summer services at Old Christ Church The Board of Directors and the membership of Old Christ Church League announce the resumption of regular summer services at Old Christ Church, Laurel. Services are held on the first Sunday of each month at 10 a.m., June through September: July 3, Aug. 7, and Sept. 4.

The Order of Worship is taken from an 18th century prayer book in use around the time Old Christ Church was built, 1771-1772. Step back in time when you cross the threshold into Old Christ Church; the church is not electrified and it may take a moment for your eyes to adjust to the shadows. Through the open windows you will see the trees, the church yard, and Chipmans Pond, much as they were in 1771. A voluntary offering will be taken for the preservation and restoration of Old Christ Church. All are welcome. For more information, call 875-3644.

Outdoor Gospel Sing Enjoy an Outdoor Gospel Sing, Sunday June 12, 2 p.m., at Wheatley Methodist Church located on Rt. 313 & Wheatley Church Road near Galestown. Bring your family, friends and lawn chair to the church grove to enjoy a Sunday afternoon listening to great gospel music provided by local talent. Enjoy the talents God provided these folks and visit with friends in this beautiful setting. Brown bag snacks and lawn chairs are welcomed. Soda and bottled water, and some chairs will be available.

AYCE Fish Fry at Centenary U.M.C. There will be an All You Can Eat Fish Saturday, June 18 from 4 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at Centenary U.M. Church, located at 200 W. Market St. in Laurel. The cost is $12 for adults and $5 for kids 6-12. The event is sponsored by the Friendly Sunshine Class. Carryouts are available.

Revival to take place June 11 in Town of Blades park A Revival will take place on June 11 at 1 p.m. in the Town of Blades public park (near the Blades Volunteer Fire Department). Father's Day Dinner Concert Church of God and Saints of Christ, 10016 Concord Rd., Seaford, will hold a Father's Day Dinner Concert featuring the Sussex Community Gospel Mass Choir at 4 p.m. on Father's Day, Sunday, June 19. The menu will feature BBQ ribs, fried and baked chicken, honey baked ham, green beans, seasoned greens, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, baked beans, fresh brewed iced tea, punch and assorted desserts.
