Day of Prayer, Spring Revival
St. Paul's UMC, 32827 Old Stage Rd., Laurel, invites the community to participate in the Annual Day of Prayer for America.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 4. This year's theme is For Your Great Name's Sake: Hear us; Forgive us; Heal us. St. Paul's Second Annual SpringRenewal Revival is this weekend. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Bruce Rogers, senior pastor, Line UMC. Services are:

Annual Spring Concert
The board of directors of the Old Christ Church League invites the public to its annual Spring Concert at Old Christ Church, Laurel, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 21. Eighteen members of the SouthernDelaware Chorale will perform a lovely concert of vocal music in a variety of styles.
Old Christ Church on Christ ChurchRoad was built in 1771, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Come and enjoy a pleasant concert in a tranquil setting on the banks of Chipman Pond.

Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Adult Bible Study
Everyone is welcome to join a new five-week adult study on Adam Hamilton's book, HALF TRUTHS: God helps those who help themselves and other things the Bible doesn't say.
This class is for anyone (not just the religious among us) who wonders if our assumptions about the Bible sometimes mask what is really true. Bring questions and an open mind. Classes will be held Thursday evenings for five weeks, beginning May 4, 6:16 to 7:17, at Seaford Presbyterian Church, 701 Bridgeville Hwy.

Union Baptist Mass Choir to perform in Seaford May 7
The Union Baptist Mass Choir of Easton will be in full concert on May 7 at 3:30 at Ross Point Freedom Church, Inc., located at 10016 Concord Road in Seaford (located in the Church of God and Saints of Christ building. The chair person is Sis. Karen Holmes and the pastor is Rev. Shirley M. Caldwell.
Sandwich sale on May 6
The Delmar Church of God of Prophecy, located at Route 13 north and Dorothy Road in Laurel (three miles North of the Maryland/Delaware state line) will hold a sandwich sale on Saturday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale will feature oyster sandwiches, crab cakes, soft crabs, chicken salad, and much more. Community Prayer Breakfast
The Kiwanis Club of Delmar is sponsoring its annual Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, May 6, at Camelot Hall at St. Stephens United Methodist Church. Breakfast begins at 9 a.m.
The Rev. Dough McCallister, Delmar Christian Center, will present the featured message and Dave Ingraham, First Baptist Church, is the featured soloist.
Tickets will be available at the door for $5.
'Inside Out' women's gathering
The C.R.E.W. (Christ Reaching Every Woman) and Laurel Wesleyan Church invite ladies ages 13 and up to a women's gathering, Inside Out, on Saturday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event will focus on seeing ourselves through the eyes of God and not how we or others see ourselves.

Day of Prayer Service
The 2017 National Day of Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, at New Birth Christian Center, Addix Avenue, Greenwood.This year's theme is For Your Great Name's Sake! Hear Us Forgive Us Heal Us (From Daniel 9:19).
Host pastor and keynote speaker will be the Rev. Willie Pierce. Ten area churches and VFW Post 7478 will participate.
A freewill offering will be taken for the National Day of Prayer Task Force and a Buddy Poppy Campaign will be conducted shortly before the service.

Israel U.M. Church events
Annual Women's Day Service at Israel U. M. Church, 20230 Plantation RD, Lewes will held on Sunday, May 7 at 3:30 p.m. The messenger will be the Rev. Charlotte Nichols of Harmony U. M. Church, Millsboro, Delaware. Songs of praise will be rendered by the Lewes Charge-Faith/Israel Women's Choir and other soloist and musical musicians.
