Back to School Service Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church, 34929 Columbia Rd., Delmar, will hold a Back to School Service on Sunday, Aug. 6 at 9:30 a.m. Free school supplies for all students and teachers in attendance. A picnic will follow morning worship.

MEGA Sports Camp returns MEGA Sports Camp for kids ages 4 to those entering 6th grade returns to Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene, 27765 Nanticoke Rd., Salisbury, on July 24-28 from 6 to 8 p.m. Between sessions of basketball, soccer, cheerleading, flag football, art, wiffleball/kickball and more, coaches lead songs and help kids experience inspiring sports and Bible stories to help character-building themes take hold in their hearts. We want to give kids the chance to learn more about sports, discover character-building concepts, and have a lot of fun, said Pastor Jared Willemin. This is the third year we have hosted this camp with almost 200 kids attending over the week. We are looking forward to seeing even more kids this year. VBS at Laurel Wesleyan Laurel Wesleyan Church, Alt. 13, Laurel, presents Emojified FAM JAM Family Style VBS for all ages on Aug. 16-18 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Includes dinner, crafts, worship, games and the Word of God. Mighty Fortress bible schools The Mighty Fortress vacation bible school (VBS) will take place July 31- Aug. 4 at Christ Lutheran Church at 315 Shipley Street in Seaford from 6-8 p.m. For registration, please contact the church office at 629-9755 by July 26. All ages are welcome. Dinner will be provided at 5:30 p.m.

VBS at St. Pauls UMC St. Pauls UMC at 32827 Old Stage Rd. in Laurel will have Vacation Bible School July 31 through Aug. 4 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This years theme is Backyard Roundup. VBS for Mentally Challenged The BSSP program at Christ Lutheran Church, 315 N. Shipley St., Seaford, will host its summer Vacation Bible School program on Aug. 7-11 for mentally challenged youth and adults. The theme is Mighty Fortess- In Jesus the Victory is Won. At Mighty Fortress, the church teaches that God is our refuge and strength. Students will sing, pray, and learn through five Bible accounts that teach that God promises to be our rock and salvation- our fortress and sure defense! A light dinner will be served from 6-6:30 p.m. Class is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Bible stories will be told by a storyteller, along with puppets, music, games, and crafts. Church to celebrate eighth anniversary Ross Point Freedom Church, located at 10016 Concord Road in Seaford, will celebrate its eighth anniversary and missionary day on Sunday, July 30 at 3:30 p.m. in the Church of God and Saints of Christ building. Guest preacher will be Pastor Rosalyn Winder of Mt. Pisgah AME Church in Laurel. Host pastor is Rev. Shirley M. Caldwell.
