Homecoming service at Providence UM Church
Homecoming service at Providence UM Church in Georgetown will take place on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 2 p.m.The church is located is 24969 Shortly Road, approximately two miles west of the RT 113 Delaware State Police barracks. Music by Aimee Parker, Pat VanAuken, Gerald Hitchens and the church choir. Guest speaker will be Pastor Joe Roszin. Dinner will follow the service. Homecoming services
The 159th Homecoming services for McColleys Chapel, located on Redden Road in georgetown, will be held on Oct. 1 at 1 p.m. The luncheon will be held at the newly renovated community hall immediately after. Guest signers will be Jerry Jones and wife Jeanie and the Veasey family. Please make plans to attend.

Sandwich sale
The Delmar Church of God of Prophecy, located at Route 13 south at Dorothy Road in Laurel (three miles north of the MD/DE state line., will hold a sandwich sale on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale will feature oyster sandwiches, crab cakes, soft crabs, chicken salad, and lots more. There will also be baked goods, homemade ice cream, and soups.

Christ Lutheran Church to celebrate 500th anniversary of reformation
Christ Lutheran Church of Seaford will be celebrating the 500th anniversary of the reformation.

Martin Luther challenged some of the techniques and principles of the Christian church during the time. Luther stressed the good news that God is seeking a loving relationship with each one of us. Come and join us as we celebrate the strong acts of this brave Christian. Everyone is invited to attend these special events. On Saturday, Sept. 30 at 12:30 p.m., the church is having a reformation festival. guided tours through various stations depicting life during the reformation and events in the life of Martin Luther. there will be fun, good and music. On Saturday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. there will be a musical. Enjoy choral groups, bell choirs, vocalists and instrumentals from various Lutheran churches around Delmarva. There will be light refreshments.

10th Annual Outdoor Gospel Music Festival
The Laurel St. Pauls UMC, located at 32827 Old Stage Road in Laurel, will hold its 10th Annual Outdoor Gospel Music Festival on Saturday, Sept. 30 starting at noon. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy featured groups Sons of Thunder, Phil Davis, the Evans Family (Ernie and son Graceson), and the Baptist Boys. Hamburgers, hot dogs, homemade ice cream, and other items will be available and all proceeds benefit the youth program. For more information, call 258-8810.

Nar-Anon meeting

Galetown UMC will celebrate its 162nd Homecoing on Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. The speaker will be Jimmy Hoppa, music by Kings Ambassadors. Dinner will follow the service at Eldorado-Brookview VFC. All are welcome.
