Bethel Worship Center Fall Festival The Bethel Worship Center Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, at the church. Dinner, which will be served from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. for a small fee, includes hot dog platters, hamburger platters, desserts and drinks. The concert featuring music by the B.W.C. Band will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. A love offering will be taken. Their album, Where I Met Him, will be on sale for $12. Also enjoy a baked goods auction, raffles, door prizes and more. Tickets for drawings are one for $5 or three for $10. Checks and money orders should be made payable to the Bethel Worship Center Building Fund.

Open Mic Christian Night Open Mic Christian Night will take place on Friday, Nov. 3, 7-9 p.m. at Compassionate Shepherd Ministries. There will be a lot of good old time gospel music featuring Ronnie Messick and Marianne Speed. Other great singers include Jim Dryden, Dean, Galen Queen, Connie and Allen and other singers, fun and surprises. Do you want to sing? You never know whos going to join us. The event will take place at 10771 N. Plaza Road in Laurel, across from Food Lion Plaza. Admission and snacks are always free. A love offering will be taken. Homecoming Service St. Johnstown UM Church will celebrate its 238th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. The church is located one mile east of Greenwood. The speaker will be Mrs. June Bostick, music by Eleanor Bennett and Norman Reynolds and the singer will by Paul Greenlee. Pastor Diane E. Melson will lead the service. Fellowship and refreshment will follow.

Homecoming and anniversary First Baptist Church of Laurel, located at 32631 Bi-State Blvd., will be celebrating 44 years of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The service will be on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. There will be special preaching, singing from church members, and guest singers from the area, with a meal to follow. Revival at Centenary UMC Centenary UMC, located at Poplar and Market Streets in Laurel, will be holding a revival hosted by Pastor Dean Perdue. The schedule is as follows: Nov. 9 - Pastor Tom Slaughter and Kings Ambassadors, 7 p.m. Nov 10 - Pastor Jimmy Passwaters and Bay City Ministries, 7 p.m. Nov. 11- Pastor Bob Douglas and Zionaires, 7 p.m. Nov. 12 - Pastor Dean Perdue and Reunion, 3 p.m., followed by a covered dish dinner for those attending the revival. Spaghetti dinner The Youth of Concord United Methodist Church near Seaford will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Nov. 4 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Church Community House.The public is invited, and meal cost is $8per person. Proceeds will be used to fund the youth group activities for the coming year including Rally and missions. Concord UMC is located at 25322 Church Road (Route 20A east of Seaford). Church dinner Liberating Power AME Zion Church, located at 7366 Federalsburg Road in Bridgeville, will be selling dinners on Nov. 3 from 11 a..m.-4 p.m. The meals will be: oyster platters- $18, chicken n dumplings- $12, and fried chicken- $12. Mt. Zion UMC presents Kings Little Symphony Concert Come an enjoy an evening of Gospel music presented in arrangements from the big band era and New Orleans jazz. Mt. Zion United Methodist Church will present the Kings Little Symphony on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 5 p.m. This seven piece band features the vocals of Todd Crosby, and includes saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, drums, guitar and bass. Mt. Zion UMC is located at 28315 Seaford Road (route 13A) about two miles north of Laurel.
