Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday services To celebrate Shrove Tuesday, the men of St. Marys Episcopal Church in Bridgeville will host a Pancake Supper on Tuesday, Feb. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. Also, to celebrate the beginning of Lent, join us for Ash Wednesday Service on Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. All are welcome to join us. The church is located at 2 N. Williams St. in Bridgeville.

All Saints Episcopal Church Lenten, Easter Schedule You are invited to join All Saints Episcopal Center, located at 100 N. 10th Street in Delmar, during the Lenten Season and Holy Week. The Sunday Worship Service begins at 10 a.m. and, during Lent, consists of Penitential Order II and Holy Eucharist, Rite B. The churchs Lenten Wednesday evening sessions begin at 6:30 p.m.; following worship and supper the church will look at how history, theology, worship practices, and local culture are reflected in church architecture by looking at a selection of churches in various countries: Feb. 21- The Churches of Russia; Feb. 28- The Churches of Armenia; March 7- The Churches of Norway; March 14- Winchester Cathedral; and March 21- Four American Churches. The following special services will take place: Feb. 14- Ash Wednesday (Imposition of Ashes and Holy Eucharist)- noon and 7 p.m. March 25- Sunday of the Passion (Palm Sunday) Holy Eucharist Rite B, 10 a.m. March 30- Good Friday, The Liturgy for Good Friday and the Station of the Cross, noon April 1- Sunday of Resurrection- service of Light and Holy Eucharist Rite D, 10 a.m.

Ash Wednesday, gospel concerts at Centenary UMC Centenary UMC, located at 200 W. Market Street in Laurel, will be holding an Ash Wednesday service at 6 p.m.All are welcome. Also the churchs Sunday Night Gospel Concerts are starting the first Sunday in March. Dinner and movie night Liberating Power A.M.E. Zion Church will hold a dinner and a movie night on Friday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. The cost is $10. The featured movie is Hidden Figures and the dinner menu is wingdings, hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, popcorn, and drinks. For more information contact Sis. Christ Lutheran Church Christ Lutheran Church will be holding Lenten services at 6:30 p.m. with the exception of the Ash Wednesday service. There will be a pot luck dinner starting at 5:45 p.m. The schedule is as follows: Feb. 14- Ash Wednesday communion; Feb. 21, Feb. 28, March 7, March 14, and March 21 (pot luck dinner); and March 29- Maundy Thursday communion (basin and towel, no pot luck). Memorial service A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mildred Lorraine Graves will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Seaford Presbyterian Church, 701 Bridgeville Hwy., Seaford. For more information, call 629-9077.

Mens Day 2018 Mt. Calvary AME, 25206 School Rd., Seaford, will hold Mens Day 2018, In God We Trust, on Sunday, March 11.

The Rev. Dr. James S. Justice, presiding elder, Dover District, will speak at the 10 a.m. service. The Rev. Leonard Eley, Storm Shelter Ministry, Laurel, will speak at the 3:30 p.m. service.

Spaghetti dinner Christ Lutheran Church will be having an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner and silent auction on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 5-6:30 p.m. The menu is ayce spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, garlic bread, desserts, and drinks. There will also be special gifts for the ladies. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and free for children five and under. Takeouts are available.

Basket auction St. Bernadette Church, located at 109 Dixon Street in Harrington, will be hosting a Tricky Tray basket auction on Saturday, March 23. Doors open at 4 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for a $5 donation or five canned goods. There will be door prizes, raffles, and plenty of good food to purchase. 100 Men in Black The Mighty Men of Calvary will hold 100 Men in Black at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, at Mt. Calvary A.M.E., 25206 School Rd., Concord. Come and sing for joy to the Lord. Everyone is welcome.

Mardi Gras dinner/dance A Mardi Gras dinner/dance will take place on Saturday, Feb. 10 in the Our Lady of Lourdes church hall (next to Seaford Middle School). There will be a live band, dinner will include Cajun fish and Gumbo, and there will be a cash bar. Dinner will start at 6:15 p.m. with dancing at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at church hall or through any Knights of Columbus member.

Black History Program Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Church, 25206 School Road, Concord, Delaware. Please join us as we celebrate our history and accomplishments on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. The theme is Stand Up, Stand Together, and Stand for Justice and Equality. The messenger will be the Rev. John Moore, Sr., youth pastor at Calvary Baptist Church, Dover. Reverend Moore is vice president of the United Way of Delaware. He is well-known throughout the state of Delaware and beyond for his uncanny portrayal of Dr. Martin Luther King through his presentation of the civil rights leaders famous speeches. Faith Filled Women Conference The annual Faith Filled Women Conference returns to the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center on Saturday, March 24, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The event is open to women of all ages, stages and backgrounds who want to grow in their faith and connect with other women on the same journey. The conference will include inspirational speakers, uplifting praise music, unique vendors and irreplaceable faith-filled moments with friends, as well as a delicious buffet lunch. Award-winning author and public speaker Carol Kent will be this years keynote speaker. Kent is the president of Speak Up Speaker Services, has worked to found a conference and nonprofit, and has been on various radio and TV shows.
