We will have a time capsule to fill and bury. Sunday, Sept. 23 - Community combined choir sing October - Saturday, Oct. 20 - Our Annual Fall Festival Wednesday, Oct. 31 - Trunk or Treat in the parking lot at Camelot Hall November - Sunday, Nov. 18 - The deadline to buy lights for our Community Love Light Tree so names can be displayed on the big banner in the park. Traveling to Harford County during the week before Thanksgiving to pick up tree. Saturday, Nov. 24 - Trimming of our Annual Tree December - Sunday, Dec. 2 - First day of Advent we will light our Community Love Light Tree at 6 p.m. This annual event funds many of our ministries that gives back to the community. All for St. Stephens UMC; come out and be a part of this annual event.

Wesley United Methodist Church Homecoming Join John Wesley United Methodist Church of Seaford for its homecoming on Sept. 30 at 3:30 p.m. The speaker will be the Pastor Janice D. Heman of Friendship United Methodist Church Millsboro. Come out and receive a blessing from the Lord.

Fall Hymn Sing Galestown United Methodist Church in Galestown will have a fall hymn sing on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. The fall hymn sing will feature Donna Brown, Country Southern Gospel Music and Randy Marine. After the service, the church invites you to join it for a light lunch. Please join the for an afternoon of song, praise and fellowship and you will walk away with an uplifted heart that'll be full of joy.

Griefshare at St. John's Griefshare, a 13 week grief support group, will start on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St., Seaford. If you need help or encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend, we encourage you to join us. No children or childcare.

Homecoming at New Zion New Zion UMC in Laurel will host their Annual Homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 9. Come help the congregation celebrate 185 years. The morning service begins at 10 with Clarence Bagwell of New Jersey as the messenger. The afternoon service begins at 3:30 and Art Campbell, mayor of Milford, is the messenger. Church, 25206 School Rd., Concord, will celebrate their Annual Women's Day, "We are God's Masterpieces (Ephesians 2:8-10)" on Sunday, Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. The messenger will be Elder Clarice Mathies of Zion Baptist Church, Cambridge, Md. Family Unity Tea - The Prayer Ministry will host a Family Unity Tea on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 10:30 a.m. Building unity through the Holy Spirit is found in Ephesians 4:3. The messenger will be Minister Linda McKensie of the United Deliverance Bible Center, Laurel. Tickets are $7/person and $3/for children under age seven. Educators Day - All educators and students are welcome to begin the school year on a spiritual note at an interactive service at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23. The theme will be "Teachers in the Spotlight: Restoring Respect and Honor" (Deuteronomy 32:2). The messenger will be Dr. Wilma Mishoe, Delaware State University president.

Sandwich sale Delmar Church of God of Prophecy, located on Route 13 and Dorothy Road, will hold a sandwich sale on Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be oyster, crab cake, soft shell, cheesesteak sandwiches and more as well as homemade ice cream and baked goods. Open Mic Comedy & Music Night Compassionate Shepherd Ministries, 10771 N. Plaza Rd., Laurel, will hold Open Mic Christian Night on Friday, Sept. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Join us for a very special night of comedy, music and various characters as well as a special guest, Mom Mom Brown the Moon Pie Lady. Also enjoy some oldies and goodies rock n' roll. Grief Recovery Seminar Laurel Church of Christ will hold a Grief Recovery Seminar for those who have lost, those who want to prepare themselves for loss, or those helping others who have lost loved ones on Friday, Sept. 21 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22 from 8 a.m. to noon and Sunday, Sept. 23 from 9 to 11 a.m. Please RSVP to Philip at laurelcoc2017@gmail or 609-231-1531.

Delaware Wellness Rally is Sept. 22 Crossroad Community Church, Georgetown, will host a day of faith, fun, food and fitness as the church's First Place 4 Health (FP4H) group holds its third annual Delaware Wellness Rally on Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Keynote speaker will be Charlotte Davis, a registered, licensed dietitian who works as the child nutrition director for an Arkansas public school district. Lisa Karnish, who started the FP4H group at Crossroad in 2014 and is now the local networking leader, will also speak. Participants also will hear inspiring success stories and learn solutions to common struggles. Cost is $25 for online registration until Sept. 9, and $35 after. Dinner/Concert on Sept. 6 Delmarva Gospel Music Association and Crossroads Community Church will host a dinner/concert presenting The Collingsworth Family on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m. Doors will open at 5. Prayer Unity of Rehoboth Beach welcomes Rev. Ginny Roll to its Spiritual Center on Sunday, Sept. 9. Rev. Roll began her journey towards ministry as Licensed Unity Teacher serving at Unity Renaissance Church in Chesapeake, VA, from 2001 and 2005 and entered the ministerial program at Unity Village in 2005. Rev. Ginny has served in a variety of ministries including Unity Church of Hawaii, Unity Church of Tidewater in Virginia Beach, Unity Fellowship Church in Williamsburg (including five years as Senior Minister) and Unity Church of Tidewater. Her topic for our Lesson will be Prayer. Unity is a welcoming community of Spiritual seekers and founders; enjoying the community of like-minded souls on a similar journey.
